University of Agricultural Sciences, commonly known as UAS Raichur, is a state agricultural university located in Raichur, Karnataka. Established in 2008 by the Government of Karnataka, the university was created to strengthen agricultural education, research, and extension services in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. The institution was formed with the aim of improving agricultural productivity, promoting sustainable farming methods, supporting rural development, and providing quality education in agriculture and allied sciences.

Admission Procedure

University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur admission to this university was based on marks obtained in the Bachelor's degree. After qualifying for my graduation with very good marks, I took admitted to this course. Students should have obtained a minimum of 55 percent of marks in B. SC or any engineering discipline from a recognized university are eligible to get admission in this course. For SC /ST students there was 5 relaxation of marks.

• Complete 10+2/PUC or an equivalent qualifying examination with the prescribed subjects.

• Appear for the applicable Karnataka CET (KCET) examination for the regular Karnataka admission route.

• Register for the counselling process conducted through the prescribed admission authority.

• Select UAS Bengaluru and the preferred agricultural programme during counselling.

• Complete document verification and pay the prescribed admission fee after seat allotment.

• Study the required combination of science subjects prescribed for agricultural degree admission.

• Meet the minimum marks requirement prescribed by the university/admission authority.

M.Sc.

Ph.D.

University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur scholarship given by Karnataka state government it was details about the scholarship. The loan we get from banks only getting loans in banks it was not easy, they can't give loans immediately they verify the documents many times. Scholarships were provided to the students who got the highest marks in their batch and scholarship amount (2000-2500) was provided to that particular student. According to my point of view, there was no loan facility because the fee structure was already low.

Central government offers scholarships to students from reserved categories, socially and educationally backward classes of society, and economically weaker sections of the society. Apart from that educational loans are also offered by both the private and public sector banks.

University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur to opt for a job in govt or we have to make our further studies. we get a job easily after completion of the course and it's better to prefer Govt job over therePlacement and job opportunities were very good in our university. The placement cell of our university arranges and conducts many campus placements for the students by inviting many companies. Companies like Vijaya Bank, Core Green Sugar Limited, HDFC, Aries Agro Limited, Mangalore Chemical, and Fertilizers Limited, etc come to our college for campus recruitment. The companies offered a minimum salary package of 3 lahks per annum and a maximum salary package of 6.5 lahks annually.

• The college has its own placement cell which looks upon the needs of the graduates as well as the companies. It has a specialized team of training officers. They consistently connect to the major agricultural companies and build a connection between the companies and the graduates.
  
• Job opportunities regarding the course are huge, some of them like agriculture officers, bank field officers, any private companies will intake the students as a sales manager or researcher. There is also an opportunity to write a jrf (junior research fellowship) exam where the fellowship is given up to completion of a master's degree.

University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur Cafeteria has a canteen measuring approximately 10 sq. mts. It provides hygienically prepared food at a nominal rate. It functions throughout the working hours on all working days.University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichurhas sports facilities for all students. Students are encouraged to play various indoor and outdoor games and sports, as sports and health are heavily connected. Students are encouraged to participate in competitions held across the country and outside the country. UAS conducts sports and games as a part of the college's annual technical festival UAS. UAS Students have participated in University, state, national, and international level tournaments and won many prizes.

Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls with secure accommodation and student-friendly amenities. The hostels provide furnished rooms, dining facilities, study spaces, internet access, security services, and recreational facilities that support comfortable student living.
