Admission to Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering & Technology is conducted according to the norms of the Government of Kerala, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Most seats are filled through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) based on KEAM ranks, while a limited number of seats are available under the management quota as per the applicable regulations. Candidates must complete the application process, participate in the counselling procedure wherever applicable, verify original documents, and pay the prescribed admission fee to confirm their admission.

Admission Process

• Apply for the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM).
• Appear for KEAM conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
• Register for the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP).
• Select VKCET during the option registration.
• Receive seat allotment based on KEAM rank and reservation norms.
• Complete document verification.
• Pay the admission fee and report to the college.
• Management quota admissions are available as per Government and AICTE regulations.

Eligibility

• Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination.
• Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.
• Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject as the third subject.
• Minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by CEE Kerala, AICTE, and KTU.
• Valid KEAM score for merit admissions.

Students at VKCET can avail themselves of various scholarship schemes offered by the Central Government, Government of Kerala, AICTE, and other statutory bodies, subject to eligibility criteria. Scholarships are available for meritorious students, economically weaker sections, SC/ST students, OBC students, minority community students, differently-abled students, and children of eligible beneficiaries under various government welfare schemes. Eligible students are guided by the college scholarship cell regarding application procedures, documentation, and deadlines.
