education without any barrier by instituting 7 Crore Mahatma Gandhi
National Merit Scholarships to ensure that the poor but meritorious

state and so far more than 400 students have had the benefit of
totally FREE education, boarding and lodging. It was fitting that the
7th Mahatma Gandhi scholarships worth 1 crore to 119 students
from all states of India studying in Vel Tech were distributed by
Mr.Narayanamurthy, Chairman Emeritus Infosys and Dr. Sudha

The Department Laboratories are well maintained. There is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for every Lab. The SOP includes all /anything related to purchases, services and maintenance of the equipment’s in the laboratory.

Library

All the members of the Institution are eligible to get library membership. Library users have to register their details in the entry register, whenever they visit.
The students can use the borrowed book(s) upto 30 days time, and faculty members can use the books upto a semester. The book(s) can be renewed if the there is no reservation for the particular book.
Physical Education Department is headed by a Professor Incharge. The Physical Education Director (PED) reports to the Professor I/C. The PED takes care of the maintenance of the sports and the games of the Institution. There is a separate Gymnasium Centre which is also maintained by the Physical Education Department.
