Admission Procedure

Admission to the MBBS program at VELS Medical College & Hospital, part of the Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), is based on the NEET (UG) score and subsequent counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi.

  Secure a valid score in NEET‑UG conducted by NTA.

• Centralized Counseling by MCC (for deemed universities)
  Admission is based on the "Deemed University" counseling conducted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (DGHS/MCC). Candidates must register and complete this online counseling process. Seat Acceptance & Reporting

• Once allotted a seat through the MCC counseling portal, students receive a provisional allotment letter, which they must bring to the college along with required documents and fee payment. 

Eligiblity

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.

• Should secure a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCB for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates. 

• Must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year (maximum age: 25 years). NEET‑UG qualified for the relevant admission year; must have a valid merit rank
