Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society was founded by the great visionaries of this region Late. Prof Ram K. Meghe, Late. Surendra B. Deshmukh, Late. Prof. Baburao D. Hiwase, Late. Prof. Dinkarrao K. Deshmukh, Late. Pundlikrao B. Gohad, Late. Vasantrao N. Chaudhary, Late. Dr. Murlidhar R. Deshmukh, Shri. Shashikumar R. Deshmukh, Shri. Ramdas Alias Nanasaheb P. Dhande & Shri. Shankarrao D. Kale in the year 1965, with a clear vision of making it a world class premier organization for primary, secondary, higher, technical, and professional education.

Taking into consideration for vocational courses, the society has established six Vocational Training Centers for M.C.V.C attached to the Junior College in the rural and urban areas. To satisfy the need of Rural population for secondary education the society is managing 15 High Schools & 1 (One) ashram shala in the Rural areas and also running backward class Hostels for those community students.

The Society is organizing regularly the seminars, symposium and Group discussion with the industrialist to meet farmers demand. Well equipped Dental mobile Hospital is available for the checkup and treatment camps in rural and tribal areas of Melghat. Necessary facilities are provided to teachers to procure higher qualifications in their subjects from time to time. As a result of this, about 32 professor’s of our establishment have been awarded ‘Doctorate’ i.e., Ph.D. in various disciplines.

V.Y.W.S., one of the oldest and premiere educational institutions in Vidarbha region was established in the year 1965.  Founder president of the society, late Prof. Ram Meghe,   ex minister of education, Maharashtra state, together with his colleagues Late Surendra B. Deshmukh, Late. Pundlikrao B. Gohad, Late. Prof. Dinkarrao K. Deshmukh, Late. Prof. Baburao D. Hiwase, Late Vasantrao N. Choudhary, Late Dr. Murlidhar R. Deshmukh, Late Shri. Shashikumar R. Deshmukh, Late Ramdas P. Dhande and Shri. Shankarrao D. Kale founded the society with a sole objective of imparting quality education to the needy youths in rural area.  The Aim of the society is to provide educational facilities to the people by opening schools, colleges, hostels, libraries and technical college.  Today the society has become one of the most excellent academic centres in Vidarbha with over 17 schools, 8 Junior colleges, 6 M.C.V.C. Colleges and 12 Senior colleges providing formal as well as advanced technical education to 18000 students in arts, commerce, science, engineering, management, pharmaceuticals, medicine, etc.  Honourable Dr. Nitin Dhande, President of the society and other members of the executive body Adv. Uday S. Deshmukh (Vice-President) Prof. (Dr.) Hemant M. Deshmukh (Treasurer) Shri. Yuvrajsingh V. Choudhary (Secretary) Shri. Shankarrao D. Kale, Shri. Nitin B. Hiwase, Prof. Mrs. Ragini H. Deshmukh, Dr. Mrs. Vaishali N. Dhande, Dr. Mrs. Poonam V. Choudhary, are devoting great efforts for its progress.  Their valuable and timely guidance has always been a great source of inspiration to the staff and students.

The Placement & Training Cell functions with the primary aim of placing students in top-notch companies even before they have completed their courses. The Placement & Training cell goes all out to train the students to meet the high industry expectations.
