VVIET is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and governed by Vidya Vikas Educational Trust.  It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka as well as approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  The Institute is accredited by NAAC with B+ Grading.

 
Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology courses include various UG and PG programs, viz. BE (in 6 disciplines), MBA and MCA. The qualifying exams accepted for admission into these courses are KCET/COMEDK, UGET, Karnataka PGCET.

General 

The candidate shall have passed the Second Year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with PHYSICS and MATHEMATICS as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects :- CHEMISTRY, BIO-TECHNOLOGY, BIOLOGY and has secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with ENGLISH as one of the language.

SC/ST/OBC

 The candidate shall have passed the Second Year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with PHYSICS and MATHEMATICS as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects :- CHEMISTRY, BIO-TECHNOLOGY, BIOLOGY and has secured not less than 40% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with ENGLISH as one of the language.

Placement

The Placement Cell at VVIET plays a major role in shaping up the career goals by adopting novel methods in nurturing young minds. In reality, there is a stringent competition in the job market to match the talent with the job profile. Placement cell bridges the gap, easing the procedure of recruitment to be simpler for companies and at the same time beneficial for the students. With the proper placement and training, students learn how to put forth their knowledge and abilities in the right way to fetch the best of jobs.

The Placement Cell supports students by giving counseling and through personality development initiatives. The Placement Cell collects aspirations of students, organizes career guidance programmes for all the students starting from first year, Drives /Pool drives are organized on regular basis. The cell also arranges training programmes like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshop etc. It also invites HR Managers from different industries to conduct training programmes for final year students. Cell supports students after the completion of course also.

The Cell is equipped with high end computer systems, Hi-Tech cabins for personal interviews, Group discussion and Seminar hall for Pre placement presentations. It also has repository of course and study materials with WIFI facility provided for students.

Hostel 

Vidya Vikas Educational Trust Hostels in the campus of Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) provide accommodation to the students wishing to reside in the hostels. VVET Hostels gives a distinct advantage of befriending with students from across the globe and expose them to various religions, languages and customs. In addition to that, living as a community in the hostel will lead to all-round development of personality of a hostelite and will definitely go a long way in moulding world-class citizens.

Hostels are independent units in respects to its internal administration under the overall supervision of council of wardens and the hostel management. The hostel management with various committees involves the Principal and faculty members for care taking of the hostelites. The hostels are located in the college campus and have a separate hostel office and mess within the hostel premises. The mess has a centralized modern kitchen and a separate dining hall. General menus for every 3 months are decided by the hostelite representatives selected by the hostels. Special menus are introduced and served on all important festivals.
