Vijaya College of Nursing was established in the year 2020 under Vijaya Medical and Educational Trust. Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust was established by the Late. Sri. B .Nagi Reddi a great Visionary who believed that all people irrespective of their caste, creed, and socio-economic status should have access to quality health care services at affordable cost.  Vijaya Hospital was incepted in the year 1972 under Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust has been expanded to 631 bedded multi-speciality hospital by adding Vijaya Health Centre, Vijaya Heart Foundation, Vijaya Institute of Trauma & Orthopaedics and Vijaya College of Nursing. Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust is a centre that provides complete care for patients with all kinds of ailments. 

Vijaya College of Nursing is located in a sprawing 15 acre campus on NSK Salai Road, Vadapalani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The College is approved by the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai (TNNMC) and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai.

Vijaya College of Nursing offers BSc Nursing with an annual intake of 100 seats. Bachelor of Science  in Nursing is an undergraduate degree course usually of four years duration.  It is one of the most popular course choices among Science students after Class 12th. Nursing courses are open to female students to study subjects such as Fundamentals of Nursing & First Aid, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Biological Science, Sociology, etc.

Eligibility for Admission:

Only Female Candidates are eligible.
Applicant seeking admission should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023(Born on or before 31st December 2006)
The minimum education requirements shall be passing of
Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 Years Course) (Or)
Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) (Or)
An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board with the following subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology, Maths or Computer Science and Vocational Nursing.
Candidate should pass in all Science Subjects (both Theory and Practical) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks; for the candidates belongs to SC/ST – the minimum percentage of marks is 40%.

Applicant seeking admission should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023(Born on or before 31st December 2006)
Original certificates submitted at the time of admission will be returned only after completion of the course.
Photostat copies will not be accepted in the place of originals at the time of admission. Candidates are advised to make sufficient Photostat copies of all the certificates before submission of originals.
In the event of candidate leaving the college after admission before completion of the course, fees already paid will not be refuned under any circumstances, fees for the whole year should also be compulsorily remitted without which the original certificates will not be returned.
Eligibility certificate and migration certificate applicable to those students who studied outside of Tamil Nadu state and CBSE Board even if they belong to Tamil Nadu or Other State.
