Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University (VSKU) is a State University established by the Government of Karnataka under the Karnataka State Universities Act 2000. It is an affiliating university with about 100 affiliated colleges offering both undergraduate and post graduate programs. The university covers the districts of Ballari and Koppal. The region under the jurisdiction of the university is considered economically and educationally backward compared the national and the state average. Hence, the university endeavors to embark on innovative means of higher education in order to make it both qualitative and affordable.

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University Bellary (VSKUB), established in 2010, is a state university that provides quality education. VSK University Bellary has 120 affiliated colleges that offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The undergraduate courses offered by VKSUB are B.Sc, B.Com, and BBA programs. On the other hand, the VSKUB PG courses include MA, M.Sc, MSW, M.Com, LLM, MBA, and M.Lib.I.Sc. Moreover, Ph.d courses are also offered by Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University in multiple disciplines. The VSK University Bellary follows a merit-based admission process. For VSKUB UG courses, the admission criteria consider the marks obtained in class 12. Similarly, for PG courses, the merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in graduation. For admission to MBA and MCA courses, KEA conducts an entrance test (Karnataka PGCET). Candidates applying for the research programme (Ph.D) need to clear an entrance test or any other national-level test (UGC-NET/CSIR UGC-NET/GATE/SLET/KSET and others), followed by an interview.

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary Admission Process

Candidates can apply to Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University Bellary (VSKUB) for a variety of courses. The admission criteria for VSKUB UG courses require the marks obtained by the candidates in class 12. Scholarship

It is a fact that the State Government of Karnataka provides scholarships for the most deserving students and girls. Students who belong to the reserved classes or from socially or academically poorer classes of society or fall below the poverty and reside in the state are given a scholarship. The second campus Jnana Sarovara is located at Nandihalli in Sandur Taluka of Bellary District. This lush green campus has 10 post graduate courses
