Vasavi Vidya Trust was formed by Seven Executive Trustees and with ten members in Salem. The name of these Executive Trustees are Thiru O.V.S. Pandurangan, Thiru.R. Balakumar, Thiru.G. Manikkam Chettiar, Thiru. S.A.V.R. Krishnan, Thiru. Ayannan, Thiru.S.C.Natarajan, Thiru. N.Vittaldas. The name of ten members are Thiru.P.V.Jeganathan Chettiar, Thiru.B.Ramamoorthy Chettiar, Thiru. K.S. Kothandaraman Chettiar, Thiru. S.N.Venugopal Chettiar, Thiru. A.Lakshmi Narayanan, Thiru. R.Nirmal Prakash, Thiru. R.Balasami Chettiar, Thiru. R.Navaneethem Chettiar, Thiru. V.N. Geetha Krishnan, and Thiru. T.M.Bangaru Chettiar.

     The Vasavi Vidya Trust was hosted a Conference On 12-4-1989 in Salem and decided to start a value-based School in Salem district. At that time Thiru. O.V.S. Pandurangan held the post of Chairmanship, Thiru.G. Manikkam Chettiar held the post of secretary and Thiru. S.A.V.R. Krishnan held the post of Treasurer for Vasavi Vidya Trust. The Trust consists of 205 members in and around the TamilNadu State.

     In the Vasavi Vidya Trust, magnanimous people were willing to endorse value based higher education Institution to the student community by starting a new College in Salem city, instead of starting a new School since most of the Private Schools have already been functioning by Vysya community people for the past 100 years. A final decision was taken in the conference on 06-07-1989 to start a college in Salem district. For that purpose a land was registered on 02-11-1989 at Masinaickenpatty Village Ayothiapattinam, in Salem city. On 25-01-1990 foundation was laid for the construction of Higher Education Institution by the Trust.

   The Proposal was submitted to the Education Department as well as to Madras University for the sanction of a new College in Salem city. The proposal was accepted and sanction accorded in Government orders No. 762/1990 Dated 06-06-1990 to start a new self financing College. The former honourable Chief Minister of TamilnaduThiru.M. Karunanithi inaugurated the College on 29-07-1990. Periyar University was started in 1998 and there upon this college was affiliated to Periyar University, Salem District.

கல்லூரி தொடங்கும் முதல் நாளே அனைத்துப் பாடங்களுக்கும் தனித்தனியாக பாடத்திட்டம் (Lesson Plan) வழங்கப்படும்.

அனைத்துப் பாடப்பிரிவுகளுக்கும் பல்கலைக்கழக நெறிமுறைப்படி பாடங்கள் முழுமையாக நடத்தப்படுகின்றன.

அனைத்துப் பாடங்களுக்கும் ஆசிரியர்களால் தயார் செய்யப்பெற்ற பாடக்குறிப்புகள் (Notes) வழங்கப்படுகின்றன. மாணாக்கர்களின் விருப்பப்படி பாடக்குறிப்புகள் படிகளாகவும் (Printout Materials) மின்னஞ்சல் (E-Mail) மூலமாகவும் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

அனைத்து வசதிகளோடு கூடிய 400 கணினிகளைக் கொண்ட 4 கணினி ஆய்வகங்கள் (Computer science Lab) உள்ளன. நவீன வசதிகளோடு அனைத்து செய்முறைப் பயிற்சிகளும் மேற்கொள்ளக் கூடிய உயிர்-அறிவியல் (Life Science Lab) ஆய்வகங்கள் உள்ளன.

செய்முறைப்பயிற்சிகள் (Practical) அனைத்தும் மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு முழுமையாக நடத்தப்படுகின்றன.

2020-2021 கல்வியாண்டு முதல் அனைத்து செய்முறைப்பயிற்சி வகுப்புகளும் (Live Practical Video) நேரடி காணொளிகளின் மூலம் மாணாக்கர்களுக்குக் கற்றுத் தரப்பட உள்ளது.

கல்லூரி நூலகத்தில் சுமார் 35 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட புத்தகங்கள் மற்றும் இதழ்கள் (Magazines And Journals) துறைவாரியாகவும் பாடவாரியாகவும் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. மேலும் நூலகம் Delnet, Inflibnet, British Council Library, World Link Library ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து லட்சக்கணக்கான புத்தகங்களைப் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்துகொள்ளும் வசதியோடு உள்ளது.

வகுப்பறைகள் அனைத்தும் 100 சதவீதம் Smart Class Room ஆகச் செயல்படுகின்றன. ஆசிரியர்கள் Lcd Projector Power Point Presentation மூலமும் பாடம் சார்ந்த காணொளிகளின் (Video) மூலமும் பாடங்களை நடத்துகின்றார்கள்.

வேலைவாய்ப்பிற்காக மத்திய அரசாங்கத்தால் நடத்தப்பெறும் Swayam என்ற Online Courseல் மாணாக்கர்கள் கல்வி பயில்வதன்பொருட்டு அவர்களுக்குரிய தேர்வுக்கட்டணத்தைக் கல்லூரி நிர்வாகமே செலுத்தி மாணாக்கர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்தி வருகின்றது.

மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்பில் ஒரு சிறப்பான எதிர்காலத்தை உருவாக்கக் கல்வி பயிலும் காலங்களிலேயே Tally, Photoshop, Python, R Programming, Ms Office, Web Desigining போன்ற சான்றிதழ் பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் இலவசமாக வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

மாணாக்கர்கள் பன்மொழிப்புலமையினைப் பெற்றிட ஆங்கிலத்திறன் பயிற்சி வகுப்பு (English Language Training Program) அதற்கான பாடத்திட்டங்களோடு (Syllabus and Scheme) ஒவ்வொரு பருவத்திலும் (Semester) இலவசமாக வழங்கப்படுகின்றது.

வேலைவாய்ப்பினைப் பெற்று மாணாக்கர்களது எதிர்காலம் சிறந்திட Softskill, Aptitude, Memory Tranining போன்ற பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு இலவசமாக வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

உயிர்-அறிவியல் துறை மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு DMLT (Diploma In Medical Laboratory Technician) பயிற்சி வகுப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

அரசால் நடத்தப்பெறும் போட்டித் தேர்வுகளில் (Group Exam) மாணாக்கர்கள் வெற்றி பெறுவதற்கு ஏதுவாக நாள்தோறும் 10 நிமிடம் பொது அறிவு சார்ந்த காணொளிகள் (Video) மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு காண்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன.

நாட்டுப்பற்று, தேசப்பற்று, தலைவர்களின் பிறந்த நாள் விழாக்கள் போன்றவை தொடர்பான காணொளிகளும் (Video) நாள்தோறும் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.

கல்விக்கட்டணத்தை Online மூலமாகப் பெற்றோர்கள் செலுத்தும் வசதி செய்துதரப்பெற்றுள்ளது.

மாணாக்கர்களுக்கு வகுப்பறையில் காண்பிக்கப்படும் அனைத்துக் காணொளிகளையும் Jairaminfo.in / Vysyainfo.in என்ற வலைதளத்தில் பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் வீட்டில் இருந்தபடியே அலைபேசி வாயிலாகக் காணலாம்.

வீட்டில் இருந்தபடியே படிப்பதற்கு ஏதுவாக இனைய வழி கல்வி அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

   Our college provides high quality education with the best infrastructure and all study-oriented activities. It gives a stage for the students to exhibit themselves and come out with placement. The college shows interest and importance not only to give good education and atmosphere to the students, but also provides the placement facilities. The students are given good training for their profession and placement, by organizing various Soft Skill Programme and Aptitude Training Programme. Numerous recruiters come to our campus and the students get the opportunity to get placement in the campus interview.

  HOSTEL

  The comfortable hostel facilities make one's stay at Vysya College truly enjoyable. The institution provides independent hostel facilities for boys and girls. The room are airy and furnished with comfortable furniture. People incharge of the Hostel share their care & concern to make it a homely place to stay and study. Vysya has expanded its hostel facilities to accommodate international students, which makes the students to do a serious study and to grow spiritually, intellectually, physically & psychologically.

  Hostel Rules:

  The student who enrolls for hostel should stay for the whole academic year.

  Even if he/she joins in the middle of the year, he/she should pay the above fee for the full academic year.

  If the student vacates the hostel in the middle of the year due to Transfer of the parents / Illness / Unsuitable Climate, Unadoptable food / Decision to stay with close relations or any other reasons, he/she should pay the boarding fee for the rest of the whole year compulsory.

  Along with that 50% of mess fee will also be collected as maintenance charge.

  Violation of hostel rules will end up in the expulsion of the student from the college.
