Industry Institute Partnership Cell
Garden City University-Industry Institute Partnership Cell (GCU-IIPC) is based on the Integrated and Inclusive Model, where both the industry and academia exchange knowledge, skills, expertise, infrastructure, and resources to create an ecosystem that benefits the industry & institute (the students).

IIPC plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every student at the university gets an opportunity to do an internship in reputed Companies and a job as well later before they graduate.

Through internship, IIPC aims to give an experiential learning opportunity that offers an invaluable chance for students to network and build professional connections before they even graduate. For some students, it is a stepping-stone to bonus opportunities within the same organization, including a full-time job.

The students are trained and prepared for their internships and placements from the very first semester, setting them up for success in the professional sphere.
The IIPC follows a systematic approach to facilitate progressive engagement with industries over the course of six semesters assessing them and training them to make them Industry ready and get their dream job even before they graduate.

About Placements
CMR University, Bengaluru, has established a training and placement centre in each of its institutes headed by a Senior Professor and Director. The Training and Placement Centre understands the pulse of the corporate world and is helping students prepare for their careers.   College of Engineering, Guindy provides placement opportunities to registered students. The College of Engineering, Guindy placement is managed by the Centre for University and Industrial Collaboration, which provides the infrastructure for group discussions, tests, and interviews, as well as other logistics. The College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell provides advice and organises training programmes for students to improve their communication and soft skills. College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell assists various departments in arranging guest speakers from industry professionals. The placement cell at the College of Engineering, Guindy also organises classes on aptitude tests, logical thinking, domain knowledge, and coding/programming for the benefit of students.

   Registration of Candidates: Interested candidates need to register themselves with the College of Engineering, Guindy placement cell for participation in the placement drive.

   Pre-Placement Talk: The companies interested in recruiting students from the College of Engineering, Guindy visit the    campus and talk to interested students about the company’s work culture, the job role offered by them and their vacancies.

   Shortlisting of Candidates: Candidates interested in the job role are required to share their CV with the company and apply for the job. Further rounds are conducted with the selected candidates, who are shortlisted based on their CV.

  Application Test: The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a test conducted by the company which tests the candidates on a variety of parameters. 

  Group Discussions: The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for group discussions where they need to talk for or against a given topic.

  Personal Interview: Candidates are interviewed by the recruiting team of the company and candidates need to pitch themselves for the job.

   Job Offer letter: The candidates who have qualified all the above-mentioned rounds are offered a joining letter from the company. Candidates are required to join the company on the date mentioned in the offer letter.

The training and placements cell regularly maintain the data of the students selected by many MNC's through campus placements drive on and off campus. A regular updates of forthcoming interviews are provided to the eligible students. The placements officer responds to all queries requested by students. According to the NIRF Data 2023 available, the total number of students placed is 3281. BITS Pilani placement drive median salary package for the UG 4year student is Rs. 18,00,000 per annum. Whereas, the median salary package for the PG 2 Year student is stood Rs. 12,17,698. Some of the major recruiters who participated in the BITS Pilani placement drive are Pfizer, Paypal, Maruti Suzuki, Alphonso, Goldman Sachs and many more. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani provides placements to students studying in their final year. BITS Pilani has a placement cell that acts as a bridge between the students and the organisation.

The BITS Pilani placement committee contacts companies 2-3 months in advance of the placement drive.

Interested recruiters contact the committee with necessary data through a Job announcement form.

The requirements are scrutinised and further, a formal invitation is extended to the companies.

With mutual consent, dates and time for presentation and selection is fixed.

Company details and visits are announced to the students through the announcement form.

Interested students who satisfy the eligibility criteria, have to apply for the job.

After that, student details are shared with the companies.

After reconfirmation of the company visit, accommodation is arranged at the campus guesthouse.

Student volunteers help in arranging the logistics and other essentials for the smooth conduct of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani placement process.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell functioning in the College is entrusted with assessing the caliber of the students and by matching with their desire and strength.
