A.E.T. Arts & Science College for Women, Attur was established during the year 2005-2006. Located in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu, the college came into existence due to the dedicated efforts of a few teachers, headmasters, engineers, businessmen, and even some agriculturists from the region. To make their dream come true, the above group of people formed a trust named Attur Educational and Charitable Trust in the year 2002. After 3-4 years of concerted effort they could finally get approval from the Tamil Nadu government and affiliation from Periyar University. A.E.T. College, as it is popularly known, thus came into existence, fulfilling the dreams of thousands of aspiring students from the region.
