MRK Institute of Technology is a Leading and very well-known Engineering Colleges. It is governed by Chandravadhanam Educational Trust and was established in 2009 by its Founder, Mrs Sunita Rao and Mr M.R.K.P.Kathiravan as Chairman, who envisioned the establishment of an institution to provide Technical and Higher Education to Rural Areas.

MRKIT is located at Nattarmangalam Village, Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore (Dist) Tamilnadu on a sprawling land of 12.50 Acres in scenic surroundings. The MRKIT Campus is very well known for its beautiful Lawns, Landscape and Architecture.

MRKIT is approved by the All India Council for Technical Training (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was granted Autonomous Status by the Universities Grant Commission (UGC). It is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution which is also NAAC Accredited with A+ Grade.

MRKIT offers 5 B.E Programs, 1 B.Tech and 2 M.E Programs in various disciplines and 1 Ph.D Program. It has a current approved Total Intake of 354 Students per year. MRK Institute of Technology offers scholarships to meritorious students and also to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
