St. Peter's Institute of Higher Education and Research (SPIHER) is a private Deemed University which has a sprawling campus of 32.26 acres of land with a built-up area of 66,875 sqm.  The Institute is located in Paruthipattu revenue village of Poonamallee taluk, Tiruvallur district, Avadi,  Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  SPIHERis just 3 km far away from Avadi railway station.

SPIHER is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The mission of the department is to provide state of art facilities in all the four core areas of specialization. The labs of these specialized areas of training should be equipped with latest equipment so that students get hands down training on far with media industry and they can have smooth transition to the professional world.

Scholarships and Funding For B.E, B.Tech., B.Arch., Students:

1: If marks obtained in 10+2- greater than or equal to 95% then 70% of Scholarship in Tuition Fees will be provided.

2: If marks obtained in 10+2- is in between 80% - 94% then 50% of Scholarship in Tuition Fees will be provided.

3: If marks obtained in 10+2- is in between 70% - 79% then 25% of Scholarship in Tuition Fees will be provided.
