The Tagore Medical College and Hospital, one of the Top Medical Colleges in Chennai, was established in the Year 2010 under the aegis of Tagore Education Trust (1997) by the Chairperson Professor M. Mala, MA, MPhil, an Educationist and Philanthropist.  The Trust started the TMCH to train young men and women as dedicated, highly skilled medical professionals committed with the noble task of serving the community.

Placements: About 150 students get placed from this college every year. This college was established 9 years ago. Our college is beautiful, and the dean will be student-friendly. Chairperson will take care of students like children.

SCHOLARSHIP: The government provides scholarships for the backward class, scheduled tribe and scheduled caste students and tuition fees for the first graduate students, scheduled tribe and scheduled caste students are paid by the government. The fees are promptly given to the students. Meritorious students and deserving students are given a fee reduction. Academic awards are given to students who top the class and individual subjects. The best outgoing student and students who get a gold medal in the University examinations get a gold medal from the management. Awards and prize money are given for student paper publication and to students who apply for patent. Publication cost and patent cost is borne by the college. The names of merit students are published in the magazine, newsletter and also put up in the Outgoing students Board. Students who topped the subjects are given extra library books for reference. Fee reduction is given to the deserving candidates on the advise of the HODs, mentors and Principal.

It also has a wide range of National (69No’s) and international journals (59No’s) this library is attached to an internet room with access to e-journals.

  The College has its own fleet of college buses for the transport of the students and staff from various locations of Chennai to College so as to enable them to reach the college in time and return comfortably. This arrangement helps them to maintain punctuality and to have a safe journey.

: The college students come from far away places, from villages and towns around Chennai. The institution provides them transport facilities to all the areas around Chennai. Airconditioned buses are provided. The timings and the bus drivers contact numbers are provided to the students and any change in the drivers or routes or timings are notified to the students ahead. There are about 10 buses covering all the routes.
