JEE Main 2026 Score Analysis Out: NTA Publishes Detailed Marks-to-Percentile Data for Both Sessions: The National Testing Agency has officially published the complete marks vs percentile data for JEE Main 2026 covering both Session 1 and Session 2. Aspirants can now review the official statistics that highlight student performance across different exam days and shifts.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared an in-depth breakdown of JEE Main 2026 marks versus percentile scores. This dataset enables candidates to evaluate how students performed across various days and shifts. By examining this information, one can better understand how raw scores are converted into percentiles depending on the difficulty level and variation between shifts.

This release follows the declaration of JEE Main 2026 results, where a total of 15,38,468 candidates appeared, and 26 candidates achieved a perfect 100 percentile. Students can now refer to the official marks vs percentile data for further clarity and analysis.

According to the official update, the marks required to achieve a particular percentile vary significantly across shifts due to differences in exam difficulty. This variation is adjusted through a normalisation process implemented by the authorities. The percentile in JEE Main is calculated based on a candidate’s relative performance within their shift, rather than absolute marks. Additionally, final rankings are determined by percentile scores and not raw marks, which explains why some candidates with higher scores may receive lower ranks compared to others from different shifts.

The percentile score in JEE Main is computed only after applying the normalisation formula to the raw marks obtained by candidates. It reflects the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below a particular percentile in the examination. These percentile scores are measured on a scale ranging from 0 to 100 for each session.
