qualified in the UP Polytechnic Entrance Examination 2026 can now
prepare for the admission process as JEECUP counselling registration and
choice filling will begin from June 25, 2026.
The complete counselling
calendar has been published through the official counselling portal, enabling
eligible candidates to plan registration, choice filling, document
verification, and seat acceptance activities in advance.
JEECUP Counselling 2026: Admission Process Begins
The counselling process is conducted to allocate seats across diploma courses based on:
- Candidate Rank in JEECUP 2026
- Category Reservation
- Seat Availability
- Choice Filling Preferences
- Verification of Documents
According to the official schedule, the counselling process will take place in five rounds, divided into two phases.
Phase 1
Reserved for qualified candidates belonging to Uttar Pradesh.
Phase 2
Conducted for qualified candidates from other states.
The first phase will include three counselling rounds, followed by remaining rounds for eligible candidates outside Uttar Pradesh.

What Happens During JEECUP Counselling?
Candidates participating in counselling will generally complete the following stages:
Step 1 – Registration
Complete online counselling registration through the official portal.
Step 2 – Choice Filling
Select preferred institutions and diploma programmes.
Step 3 – Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted based on merit, availability, and choices submitted.
Step 4 – Freeze or Float Decision
Candidates choose whether to:
- Freeze the allotted seat and proceed with admission
- Float and participate in further rounds for better options
Step 5 – Document Verification
Visit designated district help centres for verification.
Step 6 – Admission Confirmation
Pay fees and complete admission formalities.
