KCET 2026 Live Updates: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is conducting both shifts of the KCET 2026 exam today for Mathematics and Biology. The examination is being held in an offline OMR-based format, where candidates must attempt 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each paper, Mathematics and Biology has a duration of 80 minutes.
On Day 1, the exam was conducted successfully. The Chemistry paper ranged from moderate to difficult and featured a strong emphasis on Class 11 topics, along with a noticeable shift towards complex, statement-based questions similar to those seen in JEE Main. Students reported facing time-management issues, with Organic Chemistry dominating the paper. Many also experienced OMR-related mistakes due to exam pressure.
During the morning session of Day 1, the Physics paper surprised candidates with its theory-heavy nature. This unexpected pattern left several students feeling stressed and short on time, especially since some candidates reportedly received the question paper 6–7 minutes late.
