The total number of postgraduate medical seats across MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB programmes now stands at **28,663** after the latest updates that include additions and withdrawals of certain seats.

Key changes include:

·       Withdrawal of a few MD/MS and DNB seats from select institutions.

·       Addition of new seats from certain private medical colleges.

·       Correction of the earlier released total, bringing the final number to 28,663 seats.

Quota-wise Breakdown

As per the updated matrix:

All India Quota (AIQ – 50%) : Around 12,678 seats

Central Internal Quota: 804 seats

Deemed University Quota : 6,156 seats

DNB Category : 9,122 seats

With the revised count, the total available for counselling rounds now stands at 28,663. Candidates under the AIQ category should especially note the updated figures when arranging their preferences during the choice-filling process.
