The Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, is overseeing the TANCET MBA Counselling 2026 for admissions into MBA programmes offered by participating colleges across Tamil Nadu.

TANCET MBA Counselling 2026 Reservation Policy

What Happens After TANCET MBA Seat Allotment?

Following the release of the provisional seat allotment, candidates who receive an allotted seat must complete the confirmation process before the specified deadline. Those who fail to confirm their admission within the stipulated time may lose their allotted seat.

After the completion of the general counselling round, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, will publish the vacant seat status for participating MBA colleges. Any seats remaining vacant after the provisional allotment will be filled through the TANCET MBA Supplementary Counselling 2026.

The supplementary counselling will be conducted offline (in person) at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, on August 11 and August 12, 2026. Eligible candidates interested in vacant seats should attend the counselling as per the official schedule.

SCA to SC Conversion Counselling on August 14

Once the supplementary counselling process concludes, the counselling authority will conduct the SCA to SC Conversion Counselling for MBA and MCA programmes on August 14, 2026.

During this special counselling round, Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar (SCA) seats that remain vacant will be converted and offered to eligible candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category in accordance with the counselling rules and reservation guidelines.
