Easwari Engineering College, a Division of Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Group (SRM GROUP) of Educational Institutions for Higher Learning, is functioning under the aegis of Valliammai Educational Society, since 1996 with the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi.  The Society was founded in the year 1975 by Thiru.T.R.Pachamuthu, a well-known Teacher and Educationist, for promoting the cause of Education.  Having developed the concept for true Education and intellectual integrity, the SRM Group focuses on providing world-class education.

Easwari Engineering College is an Autonomous affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and has obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification from TUV, South Asia.  The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade as well as by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).  It is also ranked under the NIRF.  The institute offers several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in several specializations in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Computer Applications and Management Studies.  Courses offered include B.E (in 10 Disciplines), B.Tech (in 4 Disciplines), M.E ((in 10 Disciplines), Ph.D, M.S.(by Research), MCA, and MBA Degree Programs.  Admission is made through entrance exams such as TNEA, TANCET, TANCET MBA, TANCA.

With seven multi-storied Academic Blocks, Easwari Engineering College has top class infrastructural facilities like IT Infrastructure, Library, Hostels, Health Centre, Sports facilities, etc.  Other facilities within the campus include Food Courts and Canteens, Supermarket & Departmental Stores, Telecom Facilities, Bank / ATM (City Union Bank), DTP and Internet centers.

Admission Procedure

Among the undergraduate programs offered at SRM Easwari are BE, B.Tech, BE (Lateral Entry), and B.Tech (Lateral Entry). • Admission is based on merit through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling conducted by Anna University.
  
• No entrance exam required for TNEA.

Eligibility

• 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM.

M.E / M.B.A / M.C.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• Based on TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) score.
  
• GATE score may also be accepted.

Eligibility

• BE/BTech in the relevant discipline.
• Any Bachelor's degree (10+2+3/4 pattern).
• Bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

Ph.D - Eligibility

• ME/MTech/MPhil/MBA/MCA or equivalent master’s degree in relevant field.

Placement

Easwari Engineering College Chennai has a placement cell that conducts the campus placement. SRM EEC Placement Cell organises a variety of programmes in terms of career development including workshops, industry talks, industry visits, industry-based projects and many other activities. The placement cell is in charge of creating the annual recruitment programme, inviting organisations to campus for pre-placement talks followed by placements, and coordinating the process from beginning to end. Easwari Engineering College Chennai placement department maintains close relationships with industries, and well-organised campaigns are held to create job opportunities in addition to networking, communications, correspondence, and personal meetings. As per SRM EEC NIRF placement report for the year 2020-21, a total of 811 UG students out of 931 got placed in various organisations with a median salary of Rs. 5,00,000, while 120 students opted for higher studies.The placements starts from 3 rd year and continues till the students pass out. The highest package is 40 lakh per annum The placements occur after intense placement training from 3 rd year till final year.

Easwari Engineering College has well equipped clinic and highly skilled Doctor within the campus to provide first hand emergency services to Faculty members and students.College is surrounded by multi speciality hospitals namely SRM multi-speciality Hospital, Ramachandra Hospital, Vijaya hospital, MIOT hospital, Suriya Hospital and Fortis Malar hospital. SRM multi-speciality Hospital is 9 storied building situated inside the campus.

Easwari Engineering College was established in the Academic Year 1996-1997, with, Ramapuram run by the SRM Group and focused to its ideals and steadily embraces quality, values and tradition.  The Central Library started its functioning from then onwards, The Central Library is located on the first and second floors of the PG Block, covering an area of approximately 2,100 square meters. It is designed to accommodate 450 users at a time. The reading halls are air-conditioned and strategically located throughout the library for user convenience. Each bay features guides and shelf locators to assist in navigating the materials.EEC takes pride in offering state-of-the-art auditorium facilities that serve as vibrant venues for academic, cultural, and professional events. Designed to host a wide range of activities, our auditoriums are equipped with advanced infrastructure to deliver a world-class experience. Large capacity to accommodate audiences for seminars, conferences, and cultural events.
