M.A.M College of Engineering one among the Muslim-minority institutions in Tiruchirappalli, was established on 10th February 1999 with the aim of providing quality education on par with International Standards.The college is sponsored by the Maluk Educational & Charitable Trust. The MAMCET, founded by the lofty mission and the vision of its founder, Janab M. Abdul Majedu under the guidance of a noted Engineer, Academician, and an Administrator, Dr. S. Sathikh, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Madras is led by Dr. M. A. Mohamed Nizam, its Secretary & Correspondent.
The M.A.M. College of Engineering, which began admitting students in the academic year 1999-2000, is now celebrating its 27th year of dedicated service to the Muslim minority, economically disadvantaged, socially marginalized, and underprivileged communities. From its modest beginnings, the college has expanded significantly and now enrolls nearly three thousand students across its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
MAMCE is situated on a massive area spreading over 10 Acres of Land on the Trichy-Chennai Trunk Road, Siruganur, Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu. The College is around 30 Kms away from Tiruchirapalli Railway Station.
The prestigious College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College has a B++ accreditation by NAAC. All of its departments proudly hold accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The College was ranked 179 out of 355 Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu by Anna University in 2024. MAMCE secured its ISO 9001 certification in the year 2003, and continues to hold the same, till date, with the award of ISO 9001:2010.
MAMCE offers a variety of courses in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Management and Computer Application. The course offered included 9 B.E, 5 B.Tech and 5 M.E programs in different disciplines apart from MBA and MCA. The College has a variety of Scholarships and Financial Assistance options based on Merit, Caste Welfare Schemes as announced by the Govt, Fee Waiver as per norms announced by AICTE.
MAMCE top class infrastructural facilities including well-appointed Classrooms with necessary fixtures, Canteen, Hostel, Central Library. Seminar Halls, Sports Facilities, self-owned Transport, Photocopy, STD-ISD Booth, Stationery Store, ATM Facility is available within the campus.
MAMCE provides all possible assistance in placements through its Placements Cell and it plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of the Year covering all aspects of Training in terms of Academic Skills, Interactive Skills, Communication Development, Group Discussions, Mock Interviews etc. Guest Lectures and Interactive Sessions by visiting Faculties and Industry Experts help the students to keep themselves updated with the latest trends and market requirements. The College has an impressive Placement percentage. Over the last three years, thePlacement numbers have steadily increased from 150 to well over 400 last year.
