ATME College of Engineering, Mysore (ATME - expanded as Academy for Technical and Management Excellence) is a private top ranked Engineering college which was established in the year 2007 under the aegis of The Academy for Technical & Management Excellence, a Registered Charitable Trust which was founded by Mr. Arun Kumar L and a group of like-minded Technocrats, Academicians, Administrators and Policy-makers.  It was established with single object of providing the most modern education with cutting edge technology to aspiring and deserving students.

ATME offers a number of UG Courses in the field of Engineering ie. BE (in 9 disciplines).  It also offers PG course MCA Degree and is the Research Centre to facilitate PhD work in 6 streams of Science and Engineering. Candidate should have qualifying rank in either KCET or COMEDK entrance exam in order to get admissions in this college.

Admission Notification:

• Every year, the KEA publishes the information regarding admission process on its Website (kea.kar.nic.in) and in admission brochure.

1.2 Seat Distribution  First Year Engg 45% of total seats are filled through centralized admission process controlled by the KEA.

 30% Seats are filled through COMED-K , which is an government approved unit of private engineering colleges.

 25% seats are filled at institute level, as per the guideline given by the DTE, Karnataka

• Reservations applicable for various categories belonging to Karnataka State are considered while allotting the seats through online system of CAP

• One seat in each course over and above the sanctioned intake is made available in the NonAutonomous institutes only for Jammu and Kashmir migrant candidates.

• Provision for specified number of seats is made for the nominees from State and Union Territories which lack facilities in Technical Education.

• The admission to the candidates as per Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for the students belonging to Jammu and Kashmir and the scheme of Government of India . The allocation of Supernumerary seats in AICTE approved colleges to North Eastern States and UT's which lack in such facilities of Technical Education shall be done by the competent authorities appointed by the Central Government as per their eligibility criteria.

1) Technical Training Skills :

First Year Students have ‘C’ Programming in curriculum but syllabus does not cover tricky part due to shortage of time. Most of the companies expect more than what they have in their syllabus. Hence, to bridge the gap between what students have in their syllabus and what they face in placement drives, Department conducts training on Programming soon after their respective semester covering industry standard topics in programming so that students can clear ‘C’ Skills tests by any industry. Regular assessments and monitoring enable the growth of students in programming. Certifications in Programming is encouraged.

POLICY FOR GRANT OF FREE SHIP/ SCHOLARSHIP/FEE CONCESSION TO STUDENTS OF ATME COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

As per the resolution passed in 14th Governing Council Meeting of ATME College of Engineering, Free ship/Scholarship/Fee Concession will be granted to 50 students getting admission at I year, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in meritorious academic, co-curricular, sports and extra-curricular activities.

ATME College of Engineering is providing scholarships for toppers of all Departments for each Academic Year, Top 2 toppers of each department are being conferred with scholarships. The 1st topper of the department will be given Rs. 1,000/- scholarship and the 2nd topper will be given Rs.500/-.

ATME College of Engineering have come up with a unique idea of encouraging the Lateral Entry 2nd Year Students (New joined students) by providing scholarships if the students clear all the subjects in 2nd year i.e., 3rd and 4th semester in the very first attempt. This kind of scholarships will help the students to boost up their confidence and also do well in all the Academic Years of Engineering. The College has decided to give this Scholarship from this Academic Year 2017-18 an amount of Rs. 5,000/-. Below is the list of students who have been received the above said amount.

ATME College of Engineering has decided to promote the welfare of the students by providing the financial support for the students whose financial condition is weak. The eligibility for this scholarship is solely on the basis of income of the student’s family.

Library is like a Knowledge center and is the heart of the institute. The user’s satisfaction is the main motto of library services and it is a key success of the library.  The main role of an engineering college library is to satisfy the needs of its users.  ATMECE Library and Information center established in October 2010.  The Library attracts students, teachers, researchers, educational administrators and other users from different branches of the college.

The Library is centrally located and the state-of-the-art library is spread over 700 Sq. Mtrs in two levels with 250 seating capacity. The ground floor acts as a lending section and the first floor acts as a reference section. The reference section with a capacity of about 200 students is set against a vast expanse of greenery and is ideal for students who want to refer to books in a serene atmosphere.  The primary objective of the library is to support the educational and research programs of the institute by providing physical and online access to information, consistent with the present and the anticipated educational and research functions of the institute.
