B.N.M Institute of Technology, a unit of B.N.M Educational Institutions, Bangalore is a leading, autonomous, private technical co-educational Engineering Education Institution established in the year 2001 under the aegis of Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Charities Trust (1972) with a focused vision to impart value based quality education irrespective of social, financial or religious status.  The Managing Trustee Shri. N. BNMIT is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC.  All UG branches – CSE, ECE, EEE, ISE & Mech.E are accredited by NBA for the academic years 2018-19 to 2024-25 and valid up-to 30.6.2025.  The Institute is ranked by NIRF in 150-300 Band, 24th in Times Survey 2023, 32nd in 2023 Outlook Survey.

BNMIT Bangalore Admission Process
BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. BNMIT Bangalore admissions are offered to B.E, M.Tech, M.B.A, M.Sc and Ph.D programmes. For BNMIT Bangalore admission to the B.E programme, candidates should appear for the entrance exam- COMEDK UGET or KCET. As per the BNMIT Bangalore B.E admission criteria, candidates meeting the cutoff are required to participate in the COMEDK UGET/KCET counselling process for choice filling and seat allotment. BNMIT Bangalore admission to the M.Tech programme is offered based on candidates’ scores in the entrance exam- Karnataka PGCET/ GATE. Candidates with valid GATE scores are not required to take the Karnataka PGCET.

Next, candidates who meet the cutoff have to participate in Karnataka PGCET counselling and give preference to BNMIT Bangalore. Admission to the M.B.A programme is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT / CAT / MAT. However, 50% of the seats are allocated based on the Karnataka State PGCET scores through VTU counselling and the remaining 50% of the seats that come under the management quota is allocated based on the ranking in KMAT/ CAT / MAT / Karnataka PGCET. Further, during the counselling process, candidates have to give their first preference to BNMIT Bangalore.

BNM Institute of Technology admission to Ph.D is done on the basis of candidates' performance in the Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test (VTU-ETR) conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Candidates who have a valid score in the UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET/ GATE/ CAT, or any other national level test are exempted from the VTU Entrance test (VTU- ETR). Further, shortlisted candidates have to appear for a personal interview. Final admission is confirmed after verification of documents and BNMIT Bangalore admission fee payment. BNMIT Bangalore Application Process
Candidates have to register first as a new user by filling in the required fields to generate a new user id and password.
Next, candidates must log in to begin filling out the BNMIT Bangalore application using the credentials generated upon registration.
Candidates need to submit the information and go on to the next step after saving and re-reading the information given.
Lastly, candidates should upload their scanned documents, pay the application fee and submit the BNMIT Bangalore application.

Candidates should fulfill the required eligibility criteria for BNMIT Bangalore M.B.A admission.
Next, candidates have to apply and appear for the entrance exam- Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT / CAT / MAT.
Further, candidates are required to register for the counselling process on the website of the college conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
50% of the seats are allocated based on the Karnataka State PGCET scores through Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) counselling.
Next, the remaining 50% of the seats coming under the management quota will be allocated on the basis of the ranking in KMAT/ CAT / MAT / Karnataka PGCET. The undergraduate aggregate score is also considered for merit.

BNMIT Bangalore Placements

BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore has a dedicated training and placement department to facilitate and counsel students for training and placement related activities. The BNMIT Bangalore placement department strives to provide training to all students for placement. The placement department of BNMIT Bangalore is dedicated to assisting in the development of an effective recruitment strategy that can help an organisation build a stable pool of people that can strengthen its values.

The BNMIT Bangalore placement department also meets with various industries on a regular basis to investigate growing technical skill requirements for students and to conduct various training and development programmes. Technical training programmes and soft skill training programmes are some of the BNMIT Bangalore placement training programmes that are conducted on regular basis. BNMIT Bangalore placement department has also partnered with M/s. Byju’s & M/s Princeton Review to provide hand-holding for career counselling for students.

It is mandatory for every student to register for the BNMIT Bangalore placement drive and he/she should have a minimum of 95% attendance during training activities conducted by the placement department. The company that visits the institute as part of the campus selection process conducts pre-placement talks/written tests and technical and personal interviews according to their schedules. According to the BNMIT Bangalore placement statistics in the year 2020-21 (data taken from the official website), the highest salary package offered was Rs.20 LPA and the average salary package offered was Rs.5.14 LPA.

All students joining BNMIT, with Ranks under 1000 in CET will be awarded a merit scholarship of Rs.25,000/-
All students joining BNMIT, with Ranks under 3000 in COMED-K will be awarded a merit scholarship of Rs.10,000/-
Students with more than 60% in PCM and represented Karnataka at National level in Sports are awarded Rs. 25,000/-

T. Rama Rao Memorial Scholarship of Rs.10,000 for student with best CET rank in General Merit Rural / Kannada Medium Category.

BNM Institute of Technology Scholarships
BNMIT provides Scholarships for meritorious and economically weaker/ poor students/ rural/ farmer’s children worth upto INR 50 lakhs per year.

CET students admitted within the ranking of 1000 will be given onetime scholarship of INR 25000/-.
ComedK students within ranking 3000 will be give one-time scholarship of INR 10,000/-.
Scholarship of INR 10,000/- to all students securing more than 90% in any semester or CGPA of above 9.0.
Scholarship of INR 10,000/- to INR 25,000/- will be given to rural Karnataka students from economically weaker section admitted through CET.
Student who score more than 60% in exams and have represented Karnataka in any sports are awarded scholarship of INR 25,000/-.

Gold medal for Merit students

All students securing Ranks in VTU examination are awarded 22 carat Gold Medals.
Students securing 90% and above in First 4 semesters are also awarded a 22 carat Gold Medal.
Similarly those securing 90% in the last four semesters are also awarded, 22 carat Gold Medals.

LIBRARY

The BNMIT Library & Information Centre is presently housed in the Auditorium Building with an adequate space to house the Circulation & Digital Library Section in Ground Floor and Reference & Technical Journals Section in 3rd Floor with a seating capacity of 150 members at a time. The Central Library as well as MBA Department Library which is housed in 1st Floor has total document collections of over 36,130 Volumes of reference and textbooks with 8,713 distinct titles. The Library & Information Centre subscribes to over 112 National and more than 31 internationally acclaimed print Journals covering of all branches of Engineering and Management programme as well. Besides this, it has over 1450 bound volumes, 1325 learning CD-ROMS, several Data Books, Project Reports, Micro documents, etc.,

HOSTELS

The boys hostel located close to the institution is well equipped to accommodate about 150 students with facilities like home away from home. All the students are provided with a Study Table, a Chair, a Cot and a Cup-board for comfortable stay and studies. The mess is well equipped with stainless steel kitchen equipments and other facilities. A residential warden stays at the hostel to take care of the needs of the students all the time. A 24 hours security is provided at the hostel for the safety of the students.The girls hostel located in the campus is well equipped to accommodate about 150 students with facilities like home away from home.
