THE SCHOOL
Started in 1998, the Canara Bank School of Management Studies has become the hub of management education in Bangalore University. Being the post graduate department of management, CBSMS designs, monitors and regulates the MBA program of BangaloreUniversity. It also is the apex body for the 68 MBA colleges affiliated to BangaloreUniversity who have a total student strength of 2000 plus. In fact, it is a novel experiment in Industry academic collaboration with public sector doyen, Canara Bank coming forward with a huge corpus. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has also extended a helping hand.

These entire years MBA programme was a part of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management of Bangalore University. CBSMS was established to provide the much needed professional thrust and focus to management education.

Eligibility Criteria
A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline securing at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages from a recognized university.
Honors degree under 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university under UGC Act having at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages.
Candidates who have passed a bachelor/master's degree through correspondence / Open University system from this university or from any other university recognized by law are exempted from the 10+2 pattern. The duration of the degrees must be 3 years 2 years respectively.
Candidates who pass a bachelor/master degree in any university system in the single sitting pattern are not eligible.
A minimum of two years after graduation full-time supervisory experience in any organization with a turnover of Minimum Three Crores and employing not less than 50 employees.
In the case of teaching/non-teaching staff working in the university or affiliated colleges, two/five years of full-time teaching/administrative experience is essential.
Admission Details
The Admission to the program will be effected through the admission test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority, Govt. of Karnataka.

Most MBA colleges understand that they need to train their students with the goal of dynamic placements in mind. To this end, a lot of colleges offer placement-specific training to students through a dedicated placement cell

Below 35 years of age (with 5 years relaxation for reserved categories). - Minimum 55% marks for UG and 60% for PG (with 5% relaxation for reserved categories). - Postgraduate belonging to OBC and unemployed. - Annual family income should not exceed INR 6 lakhs

The college has Well-equipped Library containing more than 3000 Books and 30 National and International Journals. This is in addition to the University Library at Jnana Bharati and Central College.
