Chandigarh University Lucknow is officially known as Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh and is commonly called CU Lucknow. The university is located near Lucknow city in Uttar Pradesh. It is a private university established in the year 2024, with academic activities commencing from the 2025 session. The university is promoted by the Chandigarh University management under a private educational trust. Its primary goal is to deliver quality higher education with a strong emphasis on industry focused learning, innovation, skill development and career readiness for students.

Chandigarh University Lucknow is situated on the Lucknow Kanpur National Highway near Unnao district, close to the Lucknow border in Uttar Pradesh. The campus enjoys good connectivity with major cities such as Lucknow and Kanpur. The campus is being developed over a large area with modern academic blocks, hostels and support facilities planned in stages. The university can be easily reached by road through buses, taxis and private vehicles from Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport and Kanpur Central Railway Station.

The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act. Technical and professional programs are offered in accordance with approvals from statutory bodies such as AICTE for engineering and PCI for pharmacy programs wherever applicable. As a newly established campus, it has not yet received independent national rankings, but it follows the academic framework, quality standards and governance practices of Chandigarh University Punjab, which is nationally ranked and recognized.
