Chetana'S  Admission

following eligibility criteria:

·         Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects based on which the class declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidate is passing the qualifying examination. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.) or equivalent CGPA in any Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an ACT of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities (10+2+3) or possess an equivalent qualifications recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

OR

·         Candidates appearing for the Final Year Examination of any Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration can also apply subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of admission.

AND

·         Appearing/Appeared and secured non-zero positive score or marks or equivalent score in any one of the equivalent examination viz.: CET- MAH-MBA / MMS (conducted by DTE, Maharashtra State), CAT (conducted by IIMs), MAT (conducted by AIMA), XAT (conducted by XLRI), ATMA (conducted by AIMS), CMAT (conducted by AICTE, New Delhi) for the Academic Year 2017-2018.

·         If the candidate has failed and applied for revaluation of the result, in such cases the admission to such candidate will be on provisional basis subject to the condition that he/she will pass the examination with the required percentage of marks on or before 10th August, 2017. Undertaking from such candidates shall be taken for forfeiting the right of admission and fees paid in case of not securing required percentage of marks in qualifying examination. In case, the candidate fails to produce the results of the final year examination on or before 10th August, 2017, then admission offered to such candidate automatically gets cancelled and the fees (tuition, development and other fees) paid by the candidate for the academic year 2017-2018 stands forfeited.

·         Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the Institute.

·         Candidates should be of an Indian Nationality / Origin.

ABOUT PLACEMENT :

The Self Financing Career and Placement Team is managed by the Human Resource Specialization students of Bachelor of Management Studies course. The main activities of the Cell is to coordinate with companies and provide internship and final placement opportunities, train the aspiring professionals on skills required at workplace and provide career oriented seminars and workshops to facilitate the right choice of career.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PLACEMENT TEAM

·         Engagement Activities for Students

·         To place the students according to their areas of interest in organizations.

·         To increase awareness amongst current students about placement opportunities in industries and various skill-sets required.

SCHOLARSHIP & FREESHIP

As per the directives issued by the Government of Maharashtra, seats will be reserved for students belonging to backward classes and other category, if any. The Student who fail to process or submit the Online Scholarship or Free-Ship Form with the concerned authority will have to deposit remaining fee before the declaration of the First Term Examination Result.

ABOUT LIBRARY

The Library of CHETANA’S Hazarimal Somani College of Commerce & Economics, Smt. Kusumtai Chaudhari College of Arts, was established in 1970 along with the college by former Education Minister Shri Madhukarrao Chaudhari. The aim of the college is to provide education to lower strata of the society. The library is situated on the ground floor of the college building. At present it has a rich collection of 97069 books , 401 bound volumes and 539 CDs/Video.

Having established a user-friendly environment in the library the librarian along with other professionals and Semi professionals are managing the library with proficiency & effective library services. Library is fully computerized with SLIM21 Library Software. All the work of the library is done with help of this software.

SPORTS

Gymkhana Section of our college conducts and participate in different sports activities at College, University, State and National level.

College motivates students (Sportsmen) to participate in intra as well as inter collegiate sports activities. The following indoor as well as outdoor game facilities are provided by college:

Indoor Games: – Chess, Carrom, Table – Tennis and Badminton etc.

CANTEEN

The Canteen at the Institute offers a variety of snacks and meals at affordable rates for the students and staff alike. The Institute has very high standards of health and hygiene and ensures that the quality of food served in the cafeteria meets the required standards.

The self-service counters ensures that the customers are served promptly. Student feedback on the cafeteria services are taken regularly from the students for the improvement in services.

AUDITORIUM

At Chetana’s, we feel learning need not be restricted to a classroom. A state-of-the-art auditorium, complete with a sophisticated sound system and audio visual aids, is the perfect dais on which our students’ latent talents can bloom.
