Affiliated to Bangalore University, Recognised by Government of Karnataka and Approved by AICTE, City College – Jayanagar was established in 2001 by Dr K R Paramahamsa, a prominent educationist and an eminent entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience.

Located in Jayanagar, the heart of Bengaluru city, the college has expanded over the last two decades with sophisticated infrastructure, experienced faculty and strategic tie-ups as part of the Institution’s commitment to provide quality education in the areas of Science, Computer Applications, Commerce & Management studies.

Admission Process

Students are assessed as per their academic accomplishments and co-curricular activities. For a career in management education, the students are required to have excellent communication skills along with high competency in aptitude, logical solving abilities, ease with handling numbers, etc., which is a mandate for securing admission at CCJ. Students with work experience are given more weightage; however, it’s not a compulsory criterion to seek admission.

The aspirants need to go through the following process before their admission confirmation at CCJ. The students would be required to submit their 10th, 12th and graduation marks cards at the time of selection. Weightage would be given to the marks scored in their previous academic years classes.

UG admissions:
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is a good score in the previous 12th Standard qualifying examinations with at least 70% marks. Students with extra ordinary skills in specific fields like sports, music, theatre etc would be given a special quota. 50% for SC/ST or Persons with Disability (PWD) category would also be considered for admissions on priority.

PG admissions:
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is at least a 3 Year Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC/ST or Persons with Disability (PWD) category, of any of the Universities.

City Training and Placement Cell at CCJ has moved from strength to strength and has emerged as a destination for many National and Multi-National organizations to recruit fresh talent nurtured at the campus. In the journey towards excellence, many milestones were also set by the Department of Placements in terms of “Quality and Quantity “. The excellent infrastructure of the campus facilitates different activities of placement like pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, and interviews as per the requirements of the organizations. The consistent placement record illustrates the commitment to the success of the group.

The training and placement department conducts a variety of training programs ranging from soft skill modules to technology modules to personality development modules to all UG and PG students pertaining to each course throughout their semesters.

Guest Lectures from eminent personalities, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Exhibitions are conducted at regular intervals. Top MNC companies from IT, ITES, Banking, Finance, Retail, E-Commerce, Fin-Tech, Automobile, Telecommunication, Apparel, Infrastructure and Service sectors have visited the campus for placements. The cell provides 100% Internship and 100% Placement support for all eligible students.

Scholarships and Financing at City College, Jayanagar:

Scholarships and Financing applicable to Indian applicants only at the time of receipt of application with verification and authentication of the required documents provided by the candidate. Scholarship/ Financial Aid is offered at the time of admission only and is offered on different basis like, Scholarship on the basis of Sports, on the basis of cultural performance or on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying exam etc.

Scholarship on Merit Basis:

The candidate has to have an aggregate of 90% in the qualifying examination.
The candidates who have qualified eligibility exams from City Group may be considered even if they have 9.5 CGPA.
If a candidate gets a scholarship from a Government/ NGO/ any other organization, then college Scholarship/ Financial Aid will be restricted to the amount obtained by subtracting scholarship received from Government/ NGO/ any other organization from the total fees.
