College of Engineering, Muttathara(CEM)Trivandrum was established in the year 2016 governed by the CAPE(Co-operative Academy of Professional Education).The College is located only 3.5 kms away from heart of the Trivandrum City: East Fort.College is located only 4 kms away from Trivandrum Central Railway Station and Trivandrum Airport.

Government vide letter No.G.O.(Ms) No.666/15/Higher Education dtd 28.11.2015 accorded sanction for the establishment of the college of Engineering, Muttathara under CAPE with 5 BTech Courses namely Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Electrical & Electronics Engineering , Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering from the academic year 2016-17 onwards.

Admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State.

Tuition Fee for 90% Govt. Merit seats is Rs. 35,000 and that of 5% reserved for children of employees working under cooperative sector is Rs. 65,000 both are solely allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Kerala as per KEAM Rank and for 5% NRI Quota is Rs. 1,00,000 which is filled by CAPE on the basis of rank.

Lateral entry : The Engineering Diploma holders are admitted directly to the 3rd semester in the concerned discipline.

The goal of Training and Placement Cell (TPC) is to provide employment opportunities & world class training to students of College of Engineering Muttathara.The placement cell facilitates soft skill training programs, seminars, industry-institute interactions, workshops, aptitude tests, guidance & counselling classes, competitive exam trainings and securing placements for students in reputed organizations. The Training and Placement Cell of the college provides guidance & assistance to enable the students acquire the best possible employability and entrepreneurship skills. It provides students a platform to access and imbibe valuable resources and also acts as an interface with various companies who are seeking talented young graduates in various disciplines. TPC will impart training to students from the first year onwards giving emphasis to motivational skills, leadership qualities,communication skills, group discussions and interview techniques to ensure best possible career opportunities to all our students.

Our Transport division in the college provides transport facility to students and staff. The College has got two buses (One contract) operating in two different routes to cater to the needs of students coming from different parts of Thiruvananthapuram city. The two routes together cover almost all important points within the city. Students can avail College bus facility by taking passes for one Semester. The college bus can be used only by those who hold the bus pass. Bus pass can be had from the office by paying the fee. Buses are also available for special purpose for students and staff.
