Every year, around 1500 students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds pursue their education here, in a secure and friendly environment. Delhi Institute of Technology & Management was founded in 2007 with a clear and well defined aim – to create a center of excellence, committed to delivering education of nationally recognized standards in the fields of technology and management.

The Admission to various programmes is done strictly on the basis of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Mains conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The students are called in consonance with their All India Rank scored by them in their respective JEE (Mains). The admission procedure is done centrally in two stages of counseling organized by the University.

DITM follows a recruitment process that involves pre-placement talk, submission of resumes, shortlisting of candidates, and a campus interview. As of today, almost 80% of students from DITM have been provided with appointment letters.

 Hostel Facility

The institution has an on campus hostel with 24 hours armed security.It has separate wings for boys and girls with air cooled rooms that are spacious, airy, well lighted and fully furnished. All basic amenities are provided including a 24 hours electricity supply, clean drinking water, compreshensive medical care and indoor as well as outdoor recreation facilities.

 Transportation Facilities

The institution has its own fleet of comfortable buses to provide transport to students as well as the faculty commuting from Delhi, Sonepat and Panipat.

 Library Facilities

DITM has a fairly large library that presents a pleasant and stimulating ambience. It is clean, bright and well stocked and has enough of reading space furnished with comfortable seating arrangement. Friendly, cordial and professionally trained staff is there for any assistance that a user may need while using the available resources. A layout plan has been displayed to show the placement of books and other resources in different sections. The library offers computerized catalogue search service through OPAC. Advanced library software is in use to provide information as regards issue, reserve and return of books and other material.

The library has approximately 38,000 books in stock. In addition to course specific books, there are some prestigious titles in the reference section. A number of books of general interest, many handbooks & various year books also adorn the shelves. More volumes are added from time to time. We subscribe to more than a hundred periodicals that include almost all reputed journals in the field of science, technology and management. Non-print study material in the form of CDs and an online access to a number of national and international journals is also available. To keep students and the teachers abreast with the latest issues, magazines of general interest and those relating to current affairs are also available in the library apart from many national and regional dailies. A list of new additions in the form of books, periodicals, papers etc. is displayed from time to time.

There is a separate departmental library for Technology and Business Management students, where students get their subjective as well as reference books and latest journals to study.

Friendly, cordial and professionally trained staff is available for the assistance of students. There is a well organized notice board on which layout plan is displayed for tracking down the books and other resources belonging to different sections, have also been displayed. Not only subjective books libraries also have motivational books, biographies of well known people, encyclopedias and many other useful books for the students as well as for the faculties. As of now, the libraries are open from 9.30 A.M to 4.30 P.M on working days, very shortly we are planning to make the library services available for extended hours beyond the college timings for the hostellers.

 Student Facilities

At DITM, we strongly believe that basic conveniences and facilities given to students are conducive to creating a proactive and motivating environment. Following are some of the facilities that have been designed to provide a good learning environment in the institution.

The institution has a hostel building on the campus with 24 hrs armed security. The hostel has separate wings for boys and girls with air cooled rooms that are spacious, airy, well lighted and fully furnished. All basic amenities are provided including a 24 hrs electricity supply, clean drinking water, nutritious vegetarian food, comprehensive medical care and indoor as well as outdoor recreation facilities including a television in the mess. Students also have an access to the internet for which the connectivity is through optical fibre cables. Hostel accommodation is granted on first come first serve basis.

 Mess: A tastefully designed Mess supplements the hostel campus. It is equipped with modern and hygienic catering appliances. Besides serving healthy and wholesome meals to the hostlers, it caters to the dining requirements of day scholars too.

 Cafeteria: On campus cafeteria serves a large variety of hygienically prepared snacks, tea, coffee & soft drinks at reasonable rates.

 Telephone & STD service: Telephone service is available to the students round the clock.

 Bank & ATM: An extension counter of Punjab National Bank is proposed to be opened shortly in the campus. An ATM of the same bank is already functioning.

 Medical Facilities

We have a well equipped medical room with qualified staff to provide primary health care to students as well as staff. First aid by a paramedic is available round the clock, whereas in case of emergency a doctor is available on call. In routine the doctor visits the college twice a week. Trained counselors are also there to help students overcome psychological problems like homesickness and learning difficulties

 Sports Facility

Along with academics, emphasis is also laid on sports. We realize that sports play a significant role in one’s life. Apart from keeping us healthy and fit, they are a source of entertainment for youngsters and help in keeping them away from mental stress. They also contribute towards developing team spirit and qualities of leadership, belongingness and sharing. We have a well equipped gymnasium hall/fitness centre in the college. Extensive facilities are available for all major indoor as well as outdoor games.
