Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), also known as DMCH Dhubri, is a government medical institution located in Dhubri, Assam. It was established in 2022 by the Government of Assam under the initiative of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The college functions under the administrative support of the Assam State Government and the Directorate of Medical Education. Its primary aim is to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the underserved population of lower Assam and the neighboring regions.

The college is situated in Jhagrarpar, on the outskirts of Dhubri town, Assam. The campus is spread over a spacious area, designed with modern academic blocks, hospital buildings, and hostels. DMCH is affiliated with the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam. Admission Procedure

To gain admission to Dhubri Medical College, you must first qualify for the NEET-UG exam, then participate in the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam (DME Assam)'s counseling process, which involves registration, filling choices for colleges, and reporting for document verification and admission after being allotted a seat based on your score and chosen quota.

• You must appear and qualify in NEET‑UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ‑ Undergraduate) conducted by the National Testing Agency. 

• After NEET results, candidates participate in counselling handled by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam. You choose colleges in order of NEET rank and seat availability.

• Based on rank, reservation (category), and preferences, seats are allocated. 

• Once selected, you must verify documents (NEET scorecard, 10th & 12th certificates, identity proof, category certificate if applicable), pay fees, and confirm admission.

Eligiblity

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology) and English. 

• For general category, minimum aggregate marks in PCB ~ 50%. For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC etc.), lower percentage as per government norms (~40‑45%) may apply.

• Must have attained minimum age of 17 years by December 31 of the year of admission
