It was established in 2018 by the state government to expand medical education and healthcare services in the region. Admission Procedure

Admission to Dr. Laxminarayan Pandey Govt. Medical College, Ratlam, is a centralized, merit-based process primarily through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).  For the undergraduate MBBS program, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English and possess a valid NEET-UG score. Following the exam, applicants must participate in the counseling process. Seats are allotted through two quotas: the 15% All-India Quota, managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and the 85% State Quota, administered by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh.
