GMERS Medical College, Godhra also known as GMERS Godhra is a government medical institute located in Panchmahal district, Gujarat. It is a public medical college established in 2022 under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society GMERS formed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Government of Gujarat. The main goal of the institution is to provide quality medical education, promote healthcare research, and produce skilled doctors to serve the society.

The college is situated at Government Engineering College Campus, Chhabanpur, Lunawada Road, Godhra, Panchmahal, Gujarat. The temporary campus operates within the engineering college premises while the permanent campus is under construction. Admission Process

• Appear for NEET UG: Register, appear, and qualify in NEET for the relevant academic year. 

• State-/All-India counselling:

  • For the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, candidates apply via the national counselling (MCC).

  • For the 85% State Quota (Gujarat), candidates register via the state counselling body (Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) of Gujarat). 

• Choice filling & seat allocation: Candidates fill college preferences, seats get allotted based on rank, category, seats available, etc.

Eligibility

• The candidate must have passed the 10 + 2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. 

• Minimum aggregate marks in Physics + Chemistry + Biology/Biotechnology (for General category) is 50%; for PwBD/Reserved categories it may be 40%. 

• Age requirement: The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December of the admission year.

• Must appear and qualify in the national entrance test: NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
