Admission Criteria

Admission Process

The admission to various UG and PG courses at GMC Kannauj is conducted based on NEET UG and NEET PG scores, respectively. Following the clearance of the entrance examination, students have to register for state-level counselling conducted by King George Medical University, Lucknow.

To apply for admission to various medical courses, a student needs to follow the required steps:

• First, visit the official website for UP NEET counselling, upneet.gov.in.
  
• Click on the New Register User link.
  
• Fill in the basic information, like name, mobile number, and address.
  
• Next, pay the application fee to complete the registration process.
  
• After paying the registration fee, candidates need to do choice filling as per their college preferences.
  
• Next, upload the required educational documents and photographs in the format provided.
  
• Click on the submit tab to end the process.
  
• If the candidate is allotted a seat, they must report to GMC, Kannauj, to complete the admission process.

Eligiblity

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English.
• General category ~50% in PCB; reserved categories as per state norms.

Placement & Internship

After completing the academic portion of MBBS, students undertake a one-year compulsory rotating internship across various hospital departments in the attached teaching hospital. This practical training gives hands-on experience in medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics, etc. Many students go on to prepare for postgraduate entrance (NEET-PG) and join government services or clinical practice—a positive student feedback indicates good success in PG entrance from this institution.
