Admission to Government Medical College, Khammam, is through the NEET UG exam, with the subsequent counseling and admissions handled by the Telangana state counseling process for state quota seats, and the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) for all India quota seats

Government Medical College Khammam is a newly established government institution started in the year two thousand twenty three. As a medical college, it does not have traditional campus placements like engineering or management colleges. Instead, after completing the MBBS course, students are required to do a one year compulsory internship at the attached Government General Hospital. After internship, students can appear for national level exams such as NEET PG or apply for government and private jobs. Being a government college, students have good opportunities to get placed in government hospitals or pursue higher education in medical specialties.
