Admission Procedure

Admission to the MBBS program at Government Medical College, Machilipatnam is based on merit determined by the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score. The college offers admission through two primary counselling processes: the All India Quota (AIQ) and the Andhra Pradesh State Quota

  • All India Quota (AIQ) Counseling: Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% of the total MBBS seats.

  • State Quota Counseling: Conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh, for 85% of the total MBBS seats 

• Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on the candidate's NEET rank, category, and preferences filled during counseling.

• Document Verification: Candidates must verify their documents, including NEET scorecard, 10+2 mark sheet, category certificate (if applicable), and other required documents.

• Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation: After document verification, candidates must pay the required fees and confirm their admission.

Eligiblity

• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as subjects. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology is required for General category candidates. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate marks are 40%
