Technical and Medical Education Society (TMES) was established in the year 1983 under the able and dynamic leadership of great educationist late DadasahebJ.T.Mahajan Ex State Home Minister of Maharashtra State, with the aims and objectives of providing quality Education in the field of Medical, Engineering and Technology and the basic school education from kinder garden onwards.

Presently TMES has established various institutes offering technical education at Degree, Diploma and Certificate courses level. TME Society is having a huge Campus catering to about 40 acres of land located on BurhanpurAnkaleshwar State highway no. 4 at a distance of 2.2 km. from Faizpur and adjacent to Madhukar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana,Faizpur

In keeping with this objective the society started J.T.Mahajan Polytechnic from the academic year 1983 - 84 offering three year diploma courses in engineering & technology.

We are aware that the challenges of 21st Century are to be met by all of us. Rapid advancement in the field of science & technology has brought about drastic changes in our day to day life. We must acknowledge this and must equip ourselves to the changing needs of times.

The future belongs to new frontiers of knowledge and skills, hence technical education in our country must scale new heights commensurate with the requirements of mankind, locally and globally. Technical institutes have to meet the challenges of tomorrow through qualitative improvement of the teaching learning process.

Admission Process

Government seats  

Admission process for Government quota seats will be carried out as per the schedule declared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (Maharashtra State) from time to time. Students are also advised to see the website of Directorate of Technical Education, dte.maharashtra.gov.in / State CET Cell.

Institute Level Seats  

For these seats the candidates shall first/initially apply to the Competent Authority, who shall prepare Merit List of all such applicants, to enable the institutions to give admissions to such applicants on the basis of inter-se merit, as specified by the appropriate authority. For these seats the candidates after applying to the Competent Authority shall thereafter apply to the concerned institution for admission at Institution level and the Institution shall give admission on the basis of inter-se merit in the Merit List prepared by Competent Authority. It is pre-requisite and mandatory to apply to the Competent Authority to be eligible for admission under this quota.

Seats after CAP Round  

Admission process for the seats remaining vacant after CAP round and Institute Level round will be carried out separately. All the relevant details for admission for Institute / Minority candidates will be displayed on college notice board and on college website (www.jtmceof.ac.in) from time to time. The principal of this institute will invite applications for the Institute Level seats available by giving publicity in the leading newspapers. Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria given above should apply directly to the Principal. Such seats will be filled by institute strictly on inter-se merit basis at institute level. The above Admission Process has been outlined based on directives of Maharashtra State Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) / State CET Cell.

Training and Placement Cell is a backbone of any institute which is committed to develop dynamism, strong human values technocratic and good leadership qualities as per the need of rapidly changing technology working with a strategy oriented planning. This cell apart from the normal placement activities have a frequent personal interaction with the students and understand and realize their problems better and try to solve effectively and boosting their confidence in every aspects.”.

The Institute has full-fledged T and P cell to look after training and placement activity, which also provides the official support base for placement of final year students in form of arranging campus interviews, grooming students to face the final test of their knowledge. The staff of T and P cell includes students’ representatives of various disciplines to form the core committee which is headed by the training and placement officer. The institute has an Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDP-Cell) to facilitate and enhance entrepreneurial skills by organizing Entrepreneurship Development Awareness program every year.

Expert lectures of eminent industrialists/ industry persons, scientists, administrators, technocrats is arranged to inculcate and nurture entrepreneurship / managerial/leadership qualities amongst the students .

Objectives – 

1. To create awareness in entrepreneurship and the process of developing entrepreneurs.

In the academic year 2017-18, J.T. Mahajan College of Engineering had participated in 17 sports events of Inter College sports Tournaments under North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Lonere. In all the 17 Sports Events, our college team players have shown remarkable performance and bagged up Winner positions-6 , Runner position-6 , III positions-4, and IVth place position-1 in the Inter College / Inter Zone Sports Tournaments . Total 15 players of our college have been selected for Inter Zonal Sports Tournaments and 6- players had selected for Inter University Sports Tournaments.
