KLE Dr. M S Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi belongs to KLE Society, a society which has a legacy of 107 years in the field of Education and is one of the largest education societies in the Asia continent. Established in the year 1979 it is a Self-financing, Non-Autonomous Institute which focuses on holistic development of students by adopting the most innovative and creative dimension to impart quality education and employability skills. The College conducts a complete range of academic activities in the field of Engineering and Management Education, covering Research, Teaching, Training, Consulting and Intellectual Infrastructure Development.

KLESCET campus is located in 16 acres 2 guntas area with all amenities, Instructional, administrative, circulation, and hostels within it. The college is located on Angol Main Rd, kalameshwar Housing Colony, Udyambag, Belagavi, Karnataka.

KLESCET is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institution approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The Institution is affiliated to VTU, Belgavi and is recognized under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.

The institution presently offers BE (8 disciplines), MTech (2 disciplines), MBA and MCA programs and other UG Programs like BBA, BCA, B.com. The accepted Exams for admissions are COMEDK/UGET/KCET.

KLESCET offers world-class infrastructure that supports the pursuit of knowledge and the exercise of individual interests. Ten Student Clubs like the Theatre Club, the Sports Club, the Music Club, the Human Resource Club, the Community Development Club, the Women Empowerment Club, the Idea Club, the Google Students Club and the Literary Club help in promoting the hidden talents in students.

The Centralized Placement System in KLESCET provides all the students an equal opportunity to grow and excel in career. The Training and Placement Cell in Synch with Human Resource Training Cell- HRTC ensures that the students are trained from as early as 3rd semester for engineering courses and 1st semester for PG programs, to guarantee industry desired employability skills in students. The cell is responsible for all functions related to campus placements and internships. The responsibility of the Placement Cell does not end with placing the students in campus but also facilitates and coordinates with other institutes thereby opening wide avenues for better placement prospects.

The motto of the College is “Research is the center of locus for Intellectual growth”. To that end the college has formed the Research and Development Council (RDC), which encourages and Funds the students and faculty to undertake appropriate Research projects to ensure that the students and faculties are engaged in quality research which ensures exponential career growth. In addition Start-Up and Incubation Centre encourages and empowers young innovators to pursue their entrepreneurial ideas and helps to shape entrepreneurs who want to have a positive impact on society

The college has signed a Memorandum of Understating (MOU) with Infosys for the Campus Connect Program and Soft Skill development amongst students. It also has an MOU with KPIT, Pune with an objective to initiate Program for Academic Connect and Engagement (PACE) to provide a platform to build a strong relationship between the two institutions. In addition, each department has MoUs with the respective industries and organizations.

The ERP system in college level helps to track of the performance of its the student and alumni thereby increasing the operational level efficiency following an automated template system, allowing various departments to access information seamlessly. It also ensures a platform for two way communication with the parents. KLESCET believes that the more we share the more we gain. KLESCET Admission Process

KLE Dr MS Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belgaum offers admissions for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. The KLESCET Belgaum admissions are done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination. The KLESCET Belgaum UG admissions are done based on the candidate's performance in the KCET/ COMEDK or JEE Mains at the all-India level. The KLESCET Belgaum PG selection process is done based on the performance of the candidate in PGCET (KEA)/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT. The placement cell is responsible for all functions related to campus placements and internships. It is run and managed by the placement team conforming to the placement policy laid down by the institute. The team comprising of placement officer, Asst.
