The K.L.E. Society’s K.L.E. College of Engineering and Technology which is a premier, self-financing non-minority institution which was established in the year 2008 with the sole objective of imparting quality technical education for rural youth.  

 
The KLE Society’s KLECET campus has a sprawling area of 16 acres at the foot of hillocks on the outskirts of the city.  The College is located about 70 km from Belgavi in the city of Chikodi which has a strong educational base and enjoys salubrious climate throughout the year. 

 
KLECET is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, the technical state University of Karnataka.  It is accredited by NBA and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Karnataka.

 
KLECET Chikodi offers world-class UG courses in Computer Science & engineering, Electronics & Communication, AI & Data Science, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 per BE discipline except BE Comp Science & Engg which has 120 intake.  The college also offers PG course MBA (60 intake) and MCA (120 intake).  The eligibility for admission is based on COMEDK/KCET/KEAPGCET.

 
The institute has State-of-the-Art infrastructure and most modern facilities and amenities like Library, Hostel, Open Amphitheatre, Transportation, Cafeteria, Consumer Co-op Society, Placement Assistance and Guru Vriksha.  KLECET also has various Cells and Clubs for enhancing the confidence and personality of its students.  They are Women Cell, Sports Club, Cultural Club, Social Club, LEAD Cell, NSS and Red Cross.

 
Students of KLECET Chikodi get hands-on experience on the subjects they learn as well as the latest technologies prevalent in the industry. Several workshops, industrial tours conducted during the curriculum give our students the right exposure to the industry making them ready for a job. The Placement Cell ensures that the students are linked to the industry for both Internships as well as Final Placement.

Transportation

The institute has a fleet of six buses to fulfill the transportation requirements of the students and staff. A dedicated,well experienced team of eight drivers drive these buses timely to get students to the college and drop them back after the college. As per the norms of RTO the buses have been fitted with the GPS (Global Positioning System) to continuously track the vehicle and speed governors for limit the speed of the vehicles.The buses run through the town as per the defined route covering Chikodi town.The regular trips are arranged to get the girl students from the girls hostel and from Chikodi bus stand to get from Chikodi town to the campus. All buses put together make 60 trips daily bringing in fifteen hundred students to the campus and dropping them back in time.Special trips are arranged on weekends for the hostel students to take them to the town. The buses are also used for the industrial visits.
