ADMISSION PROCESS:
Admissions to all the UG and PG courses are done on the basis of merit as per the HSNC University, Mumbai guidelines. Cutoff for the UG courses at KC College ranges from 90 to 100 percent, depending on the category and courses. Ph.D. admissions are based on the entrance test which is further followed by a personal interview conducted by the college.
Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai, offers undergraduate level degree courses to eligible candidates in the disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Science, Mass Media and Management Studies. The institute conducts B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com courses with various specializations, including a Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) and a Bachelor degree in Management Studies (BMS) programs. It also offers a BA Journalism program with specialization in Film, TV, New Media and Production.
The College currently offers a M.A. program in Hindi, M.Sc. (Papers) programs in Microbiology, IT and Chemistry, M.Sc. (Research) courses in Microbiology and Chemistry, an M.Com. program with specialization in Advance Accountancy, and a MA Journalism program with specializations in Communication & Journalism, and Entertainment, Media & Advertising.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or allied disciplines from a recognized institute (or university). Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria specified for the concerned program.
KC College Application Process
The application process for admission to degree courses offered by Kishinchand Chellaram College is as per University of Mumbai guidelines. Prospective candidates can register online through the University of Mumbai website. The detailed process of application if as follows:
- Candidates must navigate to the online application page and create a Username and Password by hitting the “Register” button.
- All requisite particulars in the registration form must be filled correctly.
- The applicant must choose Kishinchand Chellaram College as the preferred choice of college in the registration form.
- After online submission of the application form, candidate must take printouts of the Submission Copy and the Student Copy.
- The submission copy has to be attached to the admission form of KC College, and the Student Copy must be retained by candidate for future correspondence.
- The admission form for KC College can be obtained by contacting the institute in person.
- Candidate is required to enter valid phone number and email address for communication purpose.
- Candidates from outside-Maharashtra Boards will have to fill in provisional eligibility form in the institute office before payment of fees.
- Photocopies of 10th & 12th standard mark-sheets
