About JNMC Belgaum
The college was established in the year 1963 by the KLE Society. JNMC is a constituent college of the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belgaum. The campus spreads over 100 acres of land. JNMC courses include undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD/MS/Diploma), and super speciality (M.Ch, DM) courses in different areas. JNMC is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). To be eligible for the JNMC Belgaum undergraduate programmes, candidates need to have cleared the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET-UG, while for the JNMC PG diploma and postgraduate programmes NEET-PG is required, and finally, for doctorate courses candidates must score the JNMC NEET-SS cutoff. Fulfilment of JNMC Belgaum eligibility criteria is a prerequisite for candidates seeking admission to the college. The admission process for MBBS courses in Karnataka is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). There are 19 Govt/12 Deemed & 28 Private medical colleges in Karnataka - which offer 9345 M.B.B.S Seats. Counseling will be done for both Govt. as well as Private.

Counseling Process of Admission for MBBS in Karnataka

There are a total 3 rounds in the Karnataka NEET UG counseling, initial 2 rounds will be conducted online and the last round is done offline. Which is also called the Mop-Up round.

Steps for admission process in Medical Colleges of Karnataka are as follows:

Eligibility: Candidates should meet the standard of qualifying criteria that is positioned by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), that include minimum age, educational qualifications, and qualifying exam scores.
Application: Candidates have to apply online via. the KEA website under the defined period. They need to upload their educational documents and pay the application fee.
Document verification : In the next further step, candidates' documents get verified via. online.

Placements: The college doesn't provide placements at all, but a student can continue as a junior doctor in KLE Hospital after completing the internship. There is no placement cell. If someone joins the government set up or private practice, he can easily earn up to Rs. 40,000 as a starting salary.

Facilities like laundry, fast food, girl’s beauty parlor and a boutique shop have been added. The hostels are manned by supervisors 24 Hrs a day. Emergency Medical Care Facilities are also provided.

The KLE Society’s JNMC College Hostels comprise of five for the girls and NRI hostels exclusively as well. These hostels cater to the needs of undergraduate, postgraduate, interns, and dental students. 1400 bed KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital, provides free healthcare in basic special to the poor. 1000 bed Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre provides cost-effective super specialty healthcare services in cardiothoracic & vascular surgery, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, pediatric surgery, cardiac anesthesiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, oncology, laparoscopic surgery, diabetology etc Three primary Health Centre’, at Kinaye, Wantamuri and Handignur and an Urban Health Centre at Rukmini Nagar, have been taken over by the college from the Government under the Public Private Partnership. These Health Centres are completely managed by the College. They provide great opportunity to serve the community, to expose the students to primary level health care delivery and to undertake community-based research programs. The college also runs a rural hospital - Dr. Kamal Medical Centre, 150 KMs away at Ankola, Satellite ICUs at Hubli, Gokak & Jamkhandi.
