Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, established in 1994 is an engineering college in Navi Mumbai. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and the official engineering degrees are issued by the same. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is recognized by the government of Maharashtra.

Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering [LTCE] is a premier engineering college located in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was established in the year 1994 and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

The college was established in 1994 under the banner of LTJSS. The institute is named after the Indian freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak; an eminent, mathematician, great educationist and social reformer.

Founded in 1983 by Dr. Satish Chaturvedi, LTJSS is a corpus of 30 institutions(engineering, architecture, pharmacy) across India. Other institutions under the LTJSS umbrella include Priyadarshini College of Engineering, an A+ grade NAAC accredited university in Nagpur, and Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Initially, undergraduate engineering comprised Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer engineering tracks. In 2001, LTCE added the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department. Postgraduate programs were offered around the mid-2010's. In 2020, three new Computer Science and Engineering specialized departments were introduced due to the growing demand for AI and IoT:

ADMISSION :

Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai, offers undergraduate level engineering degree programs i.e. BE in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

• The basic eligibility criteria for admission to BE course is 10+2 in science stream with at least 50% aggregate.
• Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of candidates’ rank or marks obtained in MHT CET.
• Allotment of seats is carried out through the Maharashtra state level engineering counselling process (CAP).

Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai, offers ME and Ph.D. program in the field of Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to ME program is First Class marks at graduate level (BE/ B. Tech) in the relevant discipline. For Ph.D admission, candidates are required to clear ME with First Class marks.

• Selection of M.E. candidates done on the basis of GATE score or MET.
• For Ph.D. candidates, selection is based on GATE score or PET score.
• Candidates are allotted seats through DTE Maharashtra counselling (CAP).

For BE programs:

• Candidates can apply for admission to the BE program through the official MHT CET website
• Applicants must fill all the relevant information to register and an email confirming the same will be sent to the applicant.
• Candidates can log on to their MHT CET account in the future using the application number and password.
• Candidate must upload scanned copies of his/her passport size photograph and signature along with the completed forms. The permitted format is .jpg/.jpeg only. 
• Application fee of INR 800 must be paid only through the online payment gateway.
• Candidates should save and print the complete application form along with the payment acknowledgement slip for future reference.
• The candidate must download the admit card on the scheduled date.

For ME program:

• Applicants can log on to the DTE website for online submission of application form.
• Payment of application fee can be made online through various payment sources.
• Candidates must visit the facilitation center upon submission of the application form for the purpose of document verification, updating and confirmation of application form.
• One the merit list is declared, candidates must fill the online registration form for CAP conducted by Maharashtra DTE.

Process:

• BE candidates should have cleared 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / any other technical vocational subject.
• ME candidates should have a BE/ B. Tech degree in the relevant or allied discipline.
• Ph.D candidates are required to have a Master’s degree in the relevant or allied discipline. 
• Candidates applying for ME are selected through a common counselling process (CAP)
• BE candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in MHT CET, followed by a state-level counselling session
• GATE score is mandatory for admission to the ME program.
• Ph.D. candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the last qualifying exam.
• BE candidates must apply through MHT CET / JEE Main website.
• ME candidates can apply through DTE Maharashtra website.
• Ph.D candidates can apply directly by logging on to the institute website or collect the application form in person.
• The mode of application and fee payment for BE and ME courses is online only. Both online and offline mode of payment are applicable for Ph.D programs. 
• Reservation is provided as per norms specified by GOI and Maharashtra State Government.

The Training and placement Cell of LTCoE relentlessly works towards positioning and collaborating with potential recruiters, large organizations and companies and organizes numerous on and off campus drives each year. In order to ensure maximum placements, the T & P Cell has given new thrust to revamp its strategies and mode of operation. Sincere efforts are made towards preparing the students to be able to successfully overcome the challenges involved in the recruitment process.

Several training programs are organized in order to enhance the employability of the students in the areas of aptitude, soft skills, technical and communication skills. The T & P Cell regularly organizes several activities such as Mock Aptitude test , Mock Group Discussion(GD), Personal Interview(PI), Soft skill Workshops and Motivational Seminars for the Employability Enhancement of the students.

The Training and Placement Cell of the college adopts a dynamic approach with an objective to achieve an all-round and multifaceted personality development for its students.
