Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), popularly known as Manipal University, is a premier Deemed-to-be-University located in Manipal, Karnataka. It was established in 1953 by Dr. T.M.A. Pai, a visionary educationist and philanthropist. Admission Procedure

To get a seat to MBBS at Manipal University or Manipal Medical Colleges, aspirants must appear for NEET UG entrance exam. Candidates who secure a rank in NEET UG exam are required to fill an online application form with submitting their scores and other documents at the time of filling the application form NEET qualified students need to fill the Karnataka M.B.B.S application form. Students must register on the Karnataka NEET official website in order to participate in Karnataka NEET counselling. Choose KMC Manipal as your preferred admissions college.

Admission Criteria

Medical Sciences Admission 

MAHE offers full-time UG and PG courses. Admission to MAHE MBBS and BDS is based on NEET UG score whereas admission to MAHE MD, MS, and MDS courses is based on NEET PG score.

MBBS - 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English with a minimum of 50% marks NEET UG

B.Tech and M.Tech Admission

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) offers a 4-year B.Tech. program and a 2-year M.Tech program in various specializations. Given below is detailed information on the same.

Eligibility

B.Tech - Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / any technical vocational subject* as optional, from a recognized board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects* Technical vocational subject must be related to Chemical / Civil / Computer / Electrical / Mechanical streams

M.Tech - Pass in BE / BTech in a relevant branch from a recognized University, with minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent Weightage will be given to GATE qualified applicants.

PG Admission 

At the postgraduate level, Manipal Academy of Higher Education offers M.Opt., M.Sc., Malaysian BPT Bridge Program, M.Lib.I.Sc., MHA, MOT, Master of Public Health, M.Pharma., MPT, MSW, M.Des., M.Com., M.Arch., MCA, Master of Hotel Management, and MA programs. All the postgraduate programs are offered for a duration of 2 years.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education facilities include laboratories, hostels, a cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports facilities. MAHE facilities also include a medical centre to provide medical facilities to students. Manipal Academy of Higher Education sports facilities cater to a large variety of sports like cricket, badminton, basketball and others. Students can also avail the facility of an indoor swimming pool and indoor table tennis. Girls and boys have separate blocks for accommodation and each block has a fixed capacity. There is a range of accommodation options to choose from, for students’ convenience. MAHE facilities include the cafeteria which serves various kinds of cuisines. It meets the food requirements of students and faculty. Some other Manipal Academy of Higher Education campus facilities are an auditorium, seminar halls, lecture halls, classrooms equipped with modern technology, and a video conference room.

The university has a well-established and stocked library. MAHE Manipal library acts as a resource centre for students. The library has a subscription to various research-based websites so that students can look for recent developments in the science field, some of which are SpringerLink, Science Direct and SciFinder. The ERMSS (e-Resources Management and Search Solution) software-based service provides customised e-resources management and searches solution to search on subscribed titles of e-resources which constitutes e-journals, e-books and online databases.Students of the university are provided with basic first aid at campus. The medical centre of the MAHE has all the basic facilities for students.
