Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, is a self-financing higher educational institution that started its operations in 1953 by establishing the first self-financing medical college as Public Private collaboration model. Over the years various institutions have been added and finally, in June 1993, this group of institutions have been declared as a Deemed to be University by the Govt. of India. Its excellent track record in academics, infrastructure, and research contributions and its standing in the national and international rankings, culminated in it being declared as an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University (IoE) by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, in October 2020.

Over 35,000 students from 60+ nations live, learn, and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. To get a seat to MBBS at Manipal University or Manipal Medical Colleges, aspirants must appear for NEET UG entrance exam. Candidates who secure a rank in NEET UG exam are required to fill an online application form with submitting their scores and other documents at the time of filling the application form.

NEET qualified students need to fill the Karnataka M.B.B.S application form. Students must register on the Karnataka NEET official website in order to participate in Karnataka NEET counselling. Choose KMC Manipal as your preferred admissions college.

Placement is one of the strong points of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Some of the top companies come regularly to place our students and every year there is almost a cent per cent placement in the institutions. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Facilities
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) offers a large number of facilities for its students and staff. Manipal Academy of Higher Education facilities include laboratories, hostels, a cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports facilities. MAHE facilities also include a medical centre to provide medical facilities to students. Manipal Academy of Higher Education sports facilities cater to a large variety of sports like cricket, badminton, basketball and others. Students can also avail the facility of an indoor swimming pool and indoor table tennis. Girls and boys have separate blocks for accommodation and each block has a fixed capacity. There is a range of accommodation options to choose from, for students’ convenience. MAHE facilities include the cafeteria which serves various kinds of cuisines. It meets the food requirements of students and faculty. Some other Manipal Academy of Higher Education campus facilities are an auditorium, seminar halls, lecture halls, classrooms equipped with modern technology, and a video conference room.


Boys Hostel
The university has well-furnished hostels for boys students. MAHE hostel facilities include a common TV room, hot and cold drinking water facility and others.


Girls Hostel
Manipal Academy of Higher Education has individual hostels for girls students. Girls hostels have 24*7 electricity and water facilities. Security guards are present 24 hours at girls' hostels.

Medical/Hospital
Students of the university are provided with basic first aid at campus. The medical centre of the MAHE has all the basic facilities for students.


Gym
Manipal Academy of Higher Education has a gym for the students. The gym has all the necessary equipment for the students and staff. Students can avail the gym facilities to keep up with their physical fitness.


Library
The university has a well-established and stocked library. MAHE Manipal library acts as a resource centre for students. The library has a subscription to various research-based websites so that students can look for recent developments in the science field, some of which are SpringerLink, Science Direct and SciFinder. The ERMSS (e-Resources Management and Search Solution) software-based service provides customised e-resources management and searches solution to search on subscribed titles of e-resources which constitutes e-journals, e-books and online databases.


Sports
The Sports Council of MAHE conducts inter-college sports tournaments at regular intervals. The university has basketball courts, badminton courts, a playground for cricket and hockey etc. Students can also play indoor games like table tennis, carrom etc. at the campus.


I.T Infrastructure
MAHE has a data centre spread over 3000 square feet. The data centre has a server park and Network Operation Centre (NOC). All the institutions under the Manipal group fall under the Domain Controller and Active Directory (AD) infrastructure to support group policy implementation and remote management services.


Cafeteria
The cafeteria of the university - KMC Food Court serves tasty and hygienic food to students, staff and faculty members. Students can find Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, Thai etc. cuisines in the cafeteria. The price of the food is pocket friendly.

Auditorium
Manipal Academy of Higher Education has a modern auditorium that hosts events like seminars, annual functions and workshops. The auditorium is spacious and has modern technology.
