Established on 21st of October 1997 and with a history stretching back almost 27 years, providing technical education with in a modern educational environment and strong academic staff, Maratha Mandal Engineering College is strongly identified with engineering education in North Karnataka-India. The mission of MMEC is to advance knowledge and educate students in Science, Technology, and other areas of Scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the future.
MMEC, Belgaum represents itself as a lush-green campus with the best state-of-art technological teaching methods and student friendly campus. It is located in a huge area of about 10 acres in R.S. No. 104, Halbhavi Village, New Vantmuri, Kakati, Belgaum, Karnataka.
Maratha Mandal Engineering College has been duly sanctioned by the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The college is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
MMEC offers world-class BE Degree programs in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Robotics and AI. All courses are delivered under Visvesvaraya Technological University’s (VTU) syllabus. It also offers 2 MTech courses in Machine Design and Digital Electronics & Communications Systems and Doctoral Program PhD.
MMEC takes pride in its unique Teaching methodology. Students of MMEC get hands on experience on the subjects they learn as well as the latest technologies prevalent in the industry. Several Workshops and Industrial tours conducted during the curriculum give students the right exposure to the industry making them Job-ready.

A full-fledged Training and Placement Department with vast experience in industry and academic institutions, as its head, is established to ensure that the students are trained as per the required industry standards [Soft skills, Aptitude and Technical Skills] apart from Academic curriculum to build their Career and Place in reputed organizations in India & abroad. The T & P Department contacts industries and invites the HR Representatives /Technical Personnel from Corporates for Campus Recruitments and Guest Lectures.
MMEC Alumni Cell serves as a bridge between the institution and its former students, fostering a lifelong connection. It aims to maintain and strengthen relationships through various events, networking opportunities, and communication channels. It also organizes Career Guidance sessions, Mentorship programs, and Reunions to facilitate interaction and support between current students and graduates. Alumni cell also gathers feedback and insights from its alumni to improve academic programs and overall institutional development. Ultimately, the cell plays a vital role in nurturing a thriving and interconnected community of past and present members.
