Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics is a leading college affiliated with Mumbai University. It was established in 1964 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), a professionally managed trust with a large number of prestigious academic institutions, under its umbrella

Although the college started by focusing on education to make students selfreliant and to prepare them for careers in the commerce field, it gradually extended the scope of its activities to include the molding of the overall personality of the students. With greater competition in every walk of life it has become a necessity to prepare students to shine in all areas. A college which started with an initial intake of 250 students has now grown to have a total strength of approximately 5500 students. It started with just one course in B.COM in 1964 and has added 6 more courses in Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Bachelor in Commerce (Financial Markets), Bachelor in Commerce (Management and Finance), Bachelor in Commerce (Economics), Bachelor in Commerce (Economics & Analytics) and one inter-disciplinary Course Bachelor of Science (Information Technology).

The college has also started post graduate course in Commerce with three streams Advanced Accountancy. Business Management and Banking and Finance. In its journey of 69 years the college has given many prominent Industrialists, Chartered accountants, film artists , singers, musicians, theatre personalities, fashion designers and sport stars to the country.

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (NMCCE) offers various UG and PG courses in the field of Commerce and Economics. At the UG level, NMCCE offers B.Com, BMS, and B.Sc courses, while the offers only course at PG Level that is M.Com.

NMCCE is currently accepting applications for B.Sc-IT Phase-2 admissions. The last date for the submission of the college admission form is September 3, 2021. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the college. The first merit list for the same is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2021. 

Admissions to all the UG and PG courses at NMCCE are done on the basis of merit as per the University of Mumbai guidelines. The cutoff for open category candidates at NMCCE ranges from 89% to 97%, depending on the courses.

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics offers full-time B.Com in three specializations, BMS, and B.Sc courses at the UG level for a duration of three years. For admission to all the UG courses, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary School Examination (HSSC) and secured an aggregate of 45% marks. Whereas for B.Com, candidate need to pass 12^th or equivalent examination.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. (IT) must have passed class 12^th with 45% aggregate marks and Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects. For B.Sc. (IT), preference will be given to candidate’s score in Mathematics. Admissions to all the courses will be merit based.

Key Points to remember for UG Admission:

·         Merit list for admission will be declared stream wise.

·         It is compulsory for the selected students to register themselves under the university.

·         For the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from board other than Maharashtra State Board, must apply for Provisional Statement of Eligibility.

·         Forms will be available at the college office and candidates need to attach a photocopy of mark sheet of class 12^th with the form.

·         Candidates must have attained 17 years of age.

Applications for admission will have to be submitted in two phases. Candidates must fill Pre-Admission Online Registration form in the official website of Mumbai University, followed by filling up of Online Admission Form in the college website after his/ her name appears in the merit list.

Steps to apply in the official website of college are as below:

·         Visit the official website of the college.

·         Select ‘Online Pre Admission Form’ link as per the course.

·         Fill the details and click on Submit button.

·         After filling the form completely, an application number will be generated.

·         Proceed to pay the application fees. Candidates will get payment confirmation mail.

·         Save the duly filled in form and get the hardcopy (print out) of the form.

·         Submit the hardcopy of the application form with the documents and print of the payment confirmation email.

·         Candidates will receive signed and stamped acknowledgement form.

·         After candidate’s name appear in merit list, they have to login through the link available at the home page.

·         Click on ‘Check the Status’ link.

·         Select the Post Admission Form link and proceed to fill the mandatory details.

·         Application Fees: INR 100 (plus INR 1.50 Online Additional Convenience Fees)
