Panimalar Engineering College is a Christian minority institution of Higher Education, governed by Jaisakthi Educational Trust. The Trust, in conformity with the overall policy of the Tamilnadu government, established Panimalar Engineering College in the year 2000 in order to provide superior Engineering Education to aspiring kids.. The policy emphasizes to give high priority to meet the demand for trained engineers for various industrial and development projects in the state of Tamilnadu and the rest of India.

The college is located on the Bangalore Trunk Road, Varadharajapuram, near Poonamallee, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is well connected by road covering, Chennai, Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur districts.

Panimalar Engineering College is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by UGC with 12(B) & 2(f) status. The College is affiliated by Anna University.

The Institute offers 13 UG and 3 PG Courses options. Secretary and Correspondent of Panimalar College of Engineering, Dr. P. Chinnadurai, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D is the forerunner in implementing the vision of its Chairman which is to foster excellence in education. His aim is to enable the college in the next five years to break into a top notch private institute of the country through continued dedication to the cause of knowledge dissemination and giving out the radiance of knowledge and wisdom.

With a campus area of 52.87 acres, the college has 1 boys and 1 girls hostel. They provide high tech digital library with books and periodicals and educational journals, Audio-visual equipments, Medical healthcare centres, Hardware and Software in computer labs, dining area with Cafeteria as well as transportation facilities. All the individual departments have adequate number of LCD projectors and OHPs. These are under regular service contracts and periodical inspection is carried out by suppliers.

There is a full-fledged building constructed and maintained by 3 site engineers and 17 members including assistant engineers, supervisors and workmen altogether 20. Their responsibilities include periodical maintenance of the buildings, apart from planning and construction of new buildings or extensions.

Admission Procedure

Panimalar engineering college which is located in Chennai is an institution which caters to the Christian minority. Admission Process

• Panimalar Engineering College Chennai offers BE and B.Tech programs to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. In addition to regular BE/ B.Tech program, the college also provides lateral entry in the second year of the course.
• Candidates seeking admission in the B.E/ B.Tech will have to appear for the state level examination i.e. Tamil Nadu Entrance Examination (TNEA) conducted by Anna University.

Eligibility

• General candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks on an aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects.
• For lateral entry admission to the B.E /B.Tech program, candidates should have passed three year’s Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering/ Technology from the State Board (Tamil Nadu) or any other equivalent board. Candidates with a B.Sc degree must have studied Mathematics as a core subject at the degree level.

M.E /M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• For admission to the M.E. program in Panimalar Engineering College, candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university. The duration of the course is two years consisting of four semesters.
• In addition to the technical courses, Panimalar Engineering College offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the postgraduate level. Candidate seeking admission to the MBA program should have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
• Admission to the MBA program is done through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University or CET conducted by authorized agency.

Eligibility

• Aspiring candidates for the M.E. program would also have to qualify either in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by the Anna University or in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
