With the conviction that Education is the only weapon which can eradicate poverty, Dr Dodla Ramachandra Reddy established Visvodaya Society in 1952 in Kavali. PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science was established under the aegis of Visvodaya Society in 1998 with an initial intake of 180 students in the Undergraduate courses of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, CSE-Artificial Intelligence, CSE-Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. At present, the total sanctioned intake is 1482 including 1200 in UG programme, 102 in five MTech Specializations and 180 in MBA.

PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science is awarded permanent affiliation by JNTUA, Anantapuramu. It had been accredited by NAAC with an A grade in 2015 for 5 years. The departments of ECE, CSE, EEE and ME had been accredited by NBA at the UG level for three years in 2010. The institution has been given 2(f) and 12(B) by the UGC in the year 2013. Recognizing the potential of the institution, the software giant TCS has accredited it in 2010 and KPIT Cummins, Pune has given its accreditation in 2013.

Faculty is the backbone of any educational institution. The institution has 166 teaching staff including 24 Professors, 34 Associate Professors and 110 Assistant Professors. Apart from direct academic activity, the teaching staff are involved in research activities as well as in consultancy works.

1. Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) with a background in science, specifically with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Most institutions require candidates to have a minimum aggregate score in their 10+2 examinations (usually around 50% or higher).

2. Entrance Examination:
• Many engineering colleges and universities conduct entrance examinations for B.Tech admissions. These exams assess candidates' knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Some well-known entrance exams for B.Tech in India include JEE Main, BITSAT, and various state-level engineering entrance exams.

Medical/Hospital
The college campus gives first aid in case of any medical emergency. First aid boxes are available in every individual department. A general physician visits the campus regularly for the convenience of students with health issues. The institute also arranges free medical check-ups annually for students and staff. Health awareness camps and talks are conducted regularly for the benefit of the students.

Gym
The college's objective in promoting a gym is to provide the students with an alternative to classroom activities. With the belief that a physical workout helps the student in developing more concentration in his studies, PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology & Science has set up a well-equipped gym including Treadmills, Weight Bars, Cross Trainers, Rowing Machine, Crunching Pads, and Cycling Machines. The students and staff are encouraged to use the gym regularly and improve their fitness. In addition, Yoga sessions are conducted regularly to introduce students and staff to its benefits and help them make it a part of their daily routine.

The college has a library facility for all students.

Sports
The college has sports facilities with utmost emphasis on both the physical and psychological well-being of the students. The institute houses courts for Tennis, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, and Badminton and Grounds to play Cricket and Foot Ball. In addition, indoor games like Carroms, Chess, Table Tennis, etc. are available. For field events such as Javelin throw, shot put, etc., the institute provides the necessary equipment. A well-furnished Gymnasium is available for the use of students and staff.

The Physical director conducts all the sporting activities regularly. Annual sports meet is conducted on the campus to provide an opportunity for the students and staff to exhibit their sporting talents. It culminates in Sports Day celebrations where prizes are given away to the winners. The students are also encouraged to take part in sports meets conducted at the university and district levels.

I.T Infrastructure
The College is well provided with spacious, well-designed, adequately furnished classrooms having LCD Projectors. All the laboratories of engineering and sciences are provided with the latest equipment. The laboratories and workshops are fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities; Particularly the computer labs, CAD/CAM Center, Internet center, and Language Lab are value-added assets to the college solar power project add to the green power and pollution-free campus.

The college cafeteria has been designed aesthetically to provide ample space for relaxed dining. The cafeteria caters to the requirements of the students as well as the staff throughout the day. The college guest rooms have been built within the campus and are designed to provide both comfort and convenience to the guests. The hostel accommodates about 800+ students each. provide spacious and well-ventilated rooms, well-maintained washrooms, and hygienically maintained kitchen and dining halls. All the required amenities such as Wi-Fi facility, RO water system, Stores, First Aid, etc. are available to the students round the clock within the premises. Generators are also provided for power backup. the hostel is allotted a resident warden and each block is supervised by assistant wardens to ensure cleanliness and address the needs of the students. The resident wardens cater to the personal and academic problems of the students. The strict security system is in place through biometric devices, cc cameras, fire-warning systems, and round-the-clock guard duty. Transport Facility
The college owns a fleet of 30 buses to facilitate the transport of about 1500 students and staff from nearby towns within a radius of 60 km from Kavali. Four of these buses are used for the transport of local students. Utmost care is taken to provide all safety measures to the traveling students. The transport in charge ensures that all the vehicles are maintained in the repair-free condition in compliance with the RTA guidelines. Drivers with a good track record are employed in compliance with the guidelines provided to the academic institutions by RTA. Each bus is allotted a staff member who regularly monitors the students traveling on the bus and ensures that discipline is maintained in the bus and no inconvenience is caused to any traveler. Also, parents are provided with the mobile number of the bus driver, for their convenience.
