PES Institute of Technology & Management, Shivamogga, established in the year 2007 is a unit of PES Group of Institutions and functions under the auspices of Prerana Educational & Social (PES) Trust. The Trust was established in the year 2006 under the inspiring leadership of Dr. M.R. Doraiswamy who is the Chairman of the premier PES Group of Institutions. Continuing the successful legacy set by the front running institution of PES in Bangalore, PES – Shivamogga has been groomed by the efficient value system derived through rich experience in the education sector of the intellectuals within the PES Group.  PESITM is one of the preferred destinations for Engineering and Management in Karnataka particularly for students from the Malnad region.

 
PES Institute of Technology & Management is located on 8.175 acres housed in a lush green 49 acres campus on the NH-206, Sagar Main Road, Guddada Arakere, Kotegangoor Post, Shivamogga, Karnataka.

 
PESITM is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.  It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and Recognized by the Government of Karnataka.  The institution is accredited by the NBA for 6 UG Programs (CSE, ISE, ECE, Civil, ME and EEE), and NAAC with 'A' Grade.   

 
PES Institute of Technology & Management offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) programs in CSE, ISE, ECE, EEE, ME, Civil, AI & ML, CS in Data Science, CSD and CE. Also, the institute is offering Post Graduate Program in MBA and MCA and has VTU Recognized Research Centres offering a Ph.D./M.Sc by Research in ECE, CSE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, MBA, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. For admission to the UG program students should compulsorily appear in CET/COMEDK/JEE or any other entrance test for professional program. The PG admissions are based on the PGCET / K-MAT /C MAT entrance exam scores.

 
Infrastructural Facilities provided at PESITM include Library, Seminar Hall, Auditorium, Open-air Auditorium, separate Boys 7 Girls Hostel facilities, Food court, Bank & ATM, GYM, Transportation, CCTV surveillance and Security, Browsing /DPT Centre, Parking Lot, Medical facilities, Snack Point, Board Room, etc.

 
The college also encourages students to take part in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to boost their confidence and improve their overall personality.  The various PESITM activities and events include NSS, Symphony: Curtain call for theatrical skill, Placements & Training, Industrial visits, Development Programs for students and faculty, Innovation and Entrepreneurship events, various Workshops and Events for showcasing extra-curricular activities like Cultural, Sports and Games.

METHOD OF ADMISSION

BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY (B.TECH)
Eligibility Criteria
50% aggregate marks in Physics + Math + Chemistry of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board in the first attempt of the exam only. Candidates who secure the eligibility through second or subsequent attempts of the exam will not be eligible. Test Scores in PESSAT (National level exam) or KCET (State level exam) or JEE Mains required.

Method to Admission

Register for and take PESSAT/ KCET/ both (if eligible) OR register for admission through JEE Mains score from the link https://www.pessat.com/. Participate through counseling to compete for a merit seat based on PESSAT/ KCET/ JEE Mains score/ rank. If a candidate wants to compete through both PESSAT quota and JEE Mains quota, he/she must register separately for B.Tech and B.Tech (JEE) from https://www.pessat.com/. Provisional blocking of seats through higher fee/management/NRI/PIO/OCI/Sponsored quota is also possible. Approach the Office of Admissions at PES University.

Placement

The Training & Placement Division of the institution acts as an interface between the institute and companies, and believes in maintaining symbiotic, vibrant and purposeful relationship with industries across the country. The department hosts companies on campus and ensures that every aspirant is assured of a bright career of his/her choice.

A spacious auditorium equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, seminar hall and multi-purpose facility halls have been made available by the institute to the cell for conducting the training and recruitment programmes.

Training and Placement cell organizes sustained training programmes for students across all semesters and branches towards preparing them for employability. The cell has been fostering a very productive and mutually beneficial relationship with the industries towards generating the placement opportunities for our students. The cell provides the best of the facilities for conducting the recruitment programmes.

Prof. MRD Scholarships
40% Tuition Fee refund for Top 20% of the students as determined by the merit of SGPA*. Applicable for all years except for the final year of study.

*Award subject to the minimum CGPA and SGPA requirements as stipulated by the scholarship committee every year. Please note, Top 20% is inclusive of the CNR Rao Scholarship awardees.

Prof. CNR Rao Scholarships
50% Tuition Fee refund for Top 5% of the students as determined by the merit of CGPA*. Applicable for all years except for the final year of study.

*Award subject to the minimum CGPA and SGPA requirements as stipulated by the scholarship committee every year.

Distinction Awards
Students securing an SGPA of 7.75 and above would receive cash prize money as a distinction award.

Library

The Library & Information Centre is a resource centre for teaching, learning and research. It is housed in an area of 400 sq meters with state of the art facilities. This peaceful, sunlit area provides an ideal study space. Being the heart of the academic centre, it is home for all information services with an aim of providing “Anytime, Anywhere, Access” to information. It plays a proactive role in enabling access to information resources of all kind and providing innovative, responsive and effective service to meet the changing needs of the academic community.

Boys and Girls hostel

Boys’ & Girls’ hostel blocks were inaugurated in the year 2007. Separate hostel blocks can accommodate about 1120 students. (Boys-544, Girls-576). Each hostel houses an office, security and residential wardens

Sports

The students can avail facilities of playground.

• Facilities include International Standard Cricket Ground, Hockey, Volleyball, Football, Basketball and Lawn-Tennis courts.
• A 400 Meter Running Track.
• Synthetic Tennis Court with Floodlight Facility.
• A separate Table-Tennis hall.
• Hi-Tech International standard Multi-Gymnasium with all modern equipment’s for both boys and girls.
