Rani Channamma University, Belagavi (RCUB) has been established in the year 2010 by the Government of Karnataka by effecting an amendment to Karnataka State Universities’ Act 2000 by upgrading the erstwhile Karnataka University Kittur Rani Channamma Post Graduate Centre at Belagavi, which was functioning under the aegis of Karnataka University, Dharwad since 1982. Named after the eponymous queen Rani Channamma of Kittur, the first woman freedom fighter of India.

RCU Campus

The main campus ‘Vidyasangama’ is in the lap of a lush, picturesque locale providing the right ambiance for University education. Located at Bhutaramanahatti adjacent to the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway-4 at a distance of about 18 km from Belagavi city, the buildings of the University have been constructed on a small hillock, thus blending naturally with the landscape. The campus sprawls over an area of 178.14 acres. The entire campus area is free form of pollution including noise pollution. There is no exaggeration in saying that the undisturbed and pleasing atmosphere on the campus makes it ideally suited for the pursuit of higher education.

Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Admission Process

RCUB Admissions are offered to students who apply for admission by filling the online application form. For RCUB UG admissions, the merit list of selected students is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the students in their qualifying examinations. For RCUB Doctoral admissions, students have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university, which is followed by a round of personal interview. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks in the entrance exam and the performance in the interview. However, due weightage is also given to the marks of the students in the qualifying examinations.

RCUB UG Admission Process

Eligible students must apply for admission by filling the online application form.
Merit list for RCUB UG admissions is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the students in their qualifying examination.
Admissions are confirmed after the students get their documents verified and have paid their fees.

RCUB PG Admissions

Students seeking RCUB PG admissions must meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligible candidates can apply by filling the online application form.Students will also have to apply for CUET-PG.
Applicants will have to appear for CUET-PG that is conducted by NTA and secure valid marks.
Shortlisted candidates will have to pay the fee and get their documents verified.

RCUB M.B.A Admissions

Interested candidates must fill the application form.
Applicants seeking RCUB M.B.A admissions will have to appear for Karnataka PGCET.
Candidates who clear the entrance exam will be shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a round of counselling.
The selected candidates will have to visit the campus for verification of documents and payment of RCUB fees.

RCUB Ph.D Admission Process

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for RCUB Ph.D admissions.
Applicants will have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university.
The candidates must secure at least 40% in the entrance test to be shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a round of personal interview.
Merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by students in the entrance, performance in the interview and the marks in the qualifying examination in the ratio 50:50.
Final selected candidates will be called to the university for verification of documents and payment of RCUB fee.

“The Career Guidance, Training and Placement Cell” of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi is committed to play a crucial role in training the different need based skills and locating the suitable job opportunities for passing out students by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to establish contacts between companies and passing out students. The placement cell is also seriously planned to train the students in cognitive and general aptitudes to make them capable to appear all sorts of competitive exams.

The Placement Cell also identifies the curiosity of the students and organizes career guidance programmes from the first year itself. The cell arranges different activities and training programmes throughout the year like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshop etc and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors. It also invites HR Managers from different industries and corporate companies to conduct training programmes for final year students.

Rani Channamma University, Belagavi Scholarship

RCUB does not offer any scholarships of its own. However, students from this university can avail scholarships offered by UGC. Students willing to avail any of these scholarships must meet the eligibility criteria for the particular scholarship. Some of the Rani Channamma University, Belagavi scholarships are Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child, Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Women Candidate, and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for ST, among many others. To avail these scholarships, students must fill the application form of these scholarships.
