IBSAT - 2024
IBSAT is an objective test, composed of four major areas, which essentially evaluate the aptitude skills of the candidates. The exam pattern and marking scheme of IBSAT has remained the same over the years. It is a two-hour test, consisting of 140 questions. The following table illustrates the section-wise division of IBSAT 2023:
IBSAT offers various postgraduate and doctoral programs like MBA, PGPM. The admission process for these courses starts after selection through IBSAT. The students can seek admission into the following courses-
2-year full-time MBA program at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur and IBS Bangalore (IFHE Off campus).
Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English.
All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2024.
Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations/viva/assignments) before May 31, 2024 . The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2024.
Section-1: Verbal Ability
Verbal Ability is highest scoring section in IBSAT syllabus and pattern with 50 questions. Major topics on which questions are asked in this section, are:

Word Relation
Error Spotting
Phrase Replacement/one word substitute
Fill in the blanks
Jumbled Sentences
Section-2: Reading Comprehension: 30 MCQs
IBSAT syllabus for Reading Comprehension has marked it as separate section in IBSAT exam with 30 questions.
RC Section in IBSAT is not clubbed to Verbal Ability section.
There are usually 3 RC passages followed by 8 questions each while one RC passage is followed by 6 questions.
The RC passages in IBSAT have an average length of 500 to 600 words
Most questions are directly related to the RC passages and answers to them can be easily located in the RC passage itself
Some of the questions are indirect and you have to check the inference drawn from the passage.
Section-3: Quantitative Aptitude: 30 MCQs
Quantitative Aptitude section has a mix of all the topics in Mathematics in IBSAT 2023 syllabus. Total questions in this section are 30. All the questions are of Easy to Moderate difficulty level. Following are the major topics on which questions are based in Quant section

Out of 30 questions in this section, 15 are based on Data sufficiency and rest 15 on Data Interpretation. This section has following major topics on which questions are based:
