NIMCET 2026 Registration Begins: Submit Your Application Online Today: The NIMCET 2026 Application Form has been released. Eligible applicants can complete their registration through the official website until May 1, 2026.

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli has officially commenced the NIMCET 2026 registration process for the academic session 2026 starting March 3, 2026. Candidates who satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions are permitted to submit the NIMCET 2026 application form within the stipulated deadline. For NIMCET 2026 registration, applicants must access the official portal https://nimcet.admissions.nic.in.

The NIMCET examination is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programmes offered by 11 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and two Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).

NIMCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To successfully apply for NIMCET 2026, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.Sc. Hons, BCA, or BIT) with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.

  • At least 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

  • B.E. or B.Tech graduates from recognised universities are also eligible to apply.

  • Final-year students are permitted to apply, provided they produce proof of passing at the time of admission.

A total of 1,300 seats are available across the participating institutions, including NIT campuses at Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, and Allahabad, along with IIIT Bhopal and IIIT Vadodara.
